Whats the picture quality like on this ,especially SD ?
I've tried a load of receivers since the Alien 2 which was SH4 based and the picture quality on all of them has been inferior.
Even the Mutant HD51 which is Arm based and I'm currently using isn't much better than standard Mips receivers in the picture quality department.

sd quality better then mips, but still i guess ARM bcm sd quality better then ARM huawei hisilicon ,
but hisilicon is new, may they can make better ,

Cheers ,I will stick with the Mutant HD51 for the time being so.
Hopefully the hisilicon might offer better picture quality down the line ,once the drivers improve.

TBH, I don't think there was much wrong with the SF4008, people always bemoaning the fact there was no Blindscan, but even if there had been, it would have been next to useless as it is on most E2 boxes. It's only recently that E2 scans have improved, for example the Edision stands out in that regard. It does seem Octagon were let down badly from the their hardware supplier with failed promises. Lets hope the new supplier is better.

Yes, SF4008 didn't have a blindscan driver available. Maybe there is still one in the pipeline. But the SF4008 was well ahead of the curve. First receiver out there with MIS/PLS S2X support. And yes the OS Nino Pro has an exceptional tuner for blindscan but very lacking in other areas compared to the SF8008, e.g. Kodi and Stalker which for the typical user these days are much more important than tuner sensitivity, after all this is a DTH receiver.

Owners of the SF4008 were treated to quite a few things that were not nice. Promises of blindscan were always advertised, and other things were broken when Kodi was added. You never knew what to expect during driver updates. One driver update caused boxes to bootloop. Some boxes were were useless after the bootloop issue because loading the bootloader (bolt.bin) was supposed to be a solution.

These issues have been posted at Octagon's website for a year and probably will always be ToDo's. (More issues have been reported.)

The SF4008 is an Octagon product. The defects and problems of the SF4008 belong to Octagon. No one is working on the SF4008 to fix the issues, yet Octagon claims they will be fixed.

Hopefully the SF8008 will fair better. We will see...

yes support . also in menu is a part for keyboard settings, but i dont used before , may i will order me too
