I have just received the new Octagon SX88+ Optima,
Excellent results so far I do like the new remote,
Blind scan works very well scans 10 east in less time than it takes to boil an egg,

Just one problem when I go to save my settings in Backup & recovery onto a USB stick only the DVB channel list is visible data that I can back up on the SX88+ Optima ?

On my Octagon SX88+ I can save all of my data onto a USB stick:-

DVB Channel list,
System setting
Stalker favourite groups
IPTV in Memory
CAM settings
Web TV data ect ect.

I hope this feedback will allow these features to be included on the Octagon SX88+ Optima,

I had technomate 5200 which is easy to move dish from satellite to satellite but the octagon sx88+ sweeps from east to west with out stopping and the step tuning does not seem to is this a faulty rx or me

3 Minor problems with the SX88 4K :-

1/ DiSEqC 1.3 USALS when I turn off the power at the mains then switch it back on the motor does not move, so I have to tell the motor to go to position then it moves to any satellite that I choose

2/ The remote control is not designed ergonomically with the Satellite selection button in the bottom left corner of the RCU so I use the SX88 Optima remote with the satellite button within easy reach of my fingers.

3/ Can we have transponders in sequence in the database ? As it will make my channel list updates easier & a lot quicker to compile.

Apart from that I am very pleased with this box.

same as sx88 4k , also same case, but in HD; same speed as 4k, boot up 12seconds, channel zapping 0,4 seconds.

no, why ending ? sx88 main hd models auf SX series. as i heard will sell until 2023

More than probable maybe they will have fixed all the problems with the DiSEqC switches & motor that is why the new model has been brought out as it is not possible to correct the SX88 UHD hardware.

It doesn't make sense to manufacture multiple boxes that are nearly identical in function. Better to streamline the range and offer wider variety between models. All that is needed from the current range is:

SF8008 Twin / Combo
SX88 4K
SX89 HD

Then a version of SX88 4K and SF8008 with CI+ would be useful to many people but instead we are offered the SF8008 Gold! An SF8008 with internal hard drive would be nice too
