Had an excellent pass today on M2-4, almost error free.

Here is the RGB channel 231 composite data.

12/7/24 Met M2-4 1434utc Maximum elevation 63 degrees west, nothbound pass.

As usual this summer its a crap day across much of the UK!

I have not had a decent pass for a few days now.Two possibles today though. M-23 EL89.27 9.57 and M2-4 14.12 EL87.24 UTC NOAA 15 passes at 9.58 I will temporally delete that in case SatDump decides to scan that one.

I got a good one from M2-3 9.57 UTC EL89.27. Now waiting for the M 2-4 pass. at 14.12 UTC.

I got nothing from the 14.12 M2-4 pass just the usual 555 Bytes.I expected better than that.No idea why not.

Odd - that was a very high pass over the UK. This is what I got:

I should have got a good scan of that pass.I wondered if NOAA 19 was going over at the same time.Although I was supposed to have checked.I did not see the pass at the time.It looks like there are two good passes tomorrow .

NOAA19 was going over at the time but it way out to the west southbound over Greenland, and went over our horizon about 1416 whilst Met M2-4 was still over the Mediteranean.

I would be posting some things but right now all my passes are co-locate, too many satellites in the same location, getting some interference from all.

Looks like a good time to go out to the house boat for the weekend.

A narrow scan from METEOR 2-3 this morning. 9.34 UTC EL62.15.I have been experimenting with the Minimum Elevation settings to stop SatDump from scanning fringe satellites.The setting for this mornings pass was 20000.However the setting for yesterdays passes was 30000 they scanned ok. experiments will continue.
Edit I think that because the Elevation was a bit low the minimum elevatioin should have been lower

I had a very nice pass this afternoon on Meteor 2-4, you can see we are getting some monsoonal posture up in the high Sierras, hope there's no lightning problems.

The high pressure vortex is moving out toward the Great Salt Lake area, might bring in some cooler air this week, I'm getting tired of 110 F +(43.3 C) for the last two weeks.

A glorious day over most of Europe, apart from Scotland where its been cloudy all day! Yup Im under that cloud A nice bit of sun glint visible on the sea near the Spain France border too as a bonus

I was about to,post that I had not had a decent pass from the Meteors for a few daysI did not realise that I got some thing from that pass.I have just had a look and I got it.

Also something different,this sat came up on satdump this morning.It was not there for long

It's a very small satellite called a cubsat, it's downlink frequency is on 402.0 MHz and uses a 2400 baud GMSK* modulation.

But I don't know what type of data it sends down.

According to N2YO.COM.It is a Amateur radio inactive sat .I have no idea why SatDump listed it. It is not in tracking.Just something else to think about.

I just added it to my tracking to see what goes on, and yes why would it pop up on your tracking if you haven't set it up to do so, very strange.
