Thanks for that Rolf....but going on exchange rates the price on their calculator works out at about €95 plus carriage.....the one over here is just over €100, including free delivery and a free bottle of glass cleaner LOL....may get in touch with redhotglass by email anyway just to see what their carriage charges are....

Well do take extra care to parse their EMail address exactly right or you might get a (nice) surprise ...............

Warm and horribly humid here. The forecast has an amber warning for slow moving thundery showers causing possible havoc with surface flooding.

Then going much cooler again. :(

I did contact them and a very nice young lady replied offering me a first class service and all I had to do was pass along my credit card details....she did seem to have a fixation with the state of her posterior though.....note to self.....get the non functioning consonant keys on my laptop repaired...

No - those have missed us so far.

I love thunderstorms too - 20 years ago I saw a doozy - standing outside the house watching the lighting all of a sudden there was the most almighty bang and a simultaneous incandescent glow.

A nearby hit knocked all the electrics out in the village and I watched in amazement as "green fire" danced along the wires! (Once my vision had receovered enough not to be dazzled!)

We had a close call a long time ago. The house 4 up from us took the main strike in the centre of the roof. It blew a hole 10 foot wide in the tiles ,the guy said that every socket in the house was on fire, that'll teach him to get his earth checked!!! And it destroyed our ferguson teak effect tv in one big black puff of smoke. Since then my sister dreads them but for me i cant get enough.

It must be my age.But I remember some really nasty thunderstorms.I used to love standing at the door watching them.I have not seen a good one for years.
It must be globle warming. :)

No satellite stuff for the moment (aside from a 43cm minidish that was on the house already), Samsung SyncMaster T27B550 Smart TV & Monitor, and a few computers...

It was hosing down through the night round here, though I wasn't watching satellite TV to notice any rain fade (my Z2 dish seems pretty good in bad weather anyway), today's not looking like it'll be any better as the weather guessers say it'll be dull and miserable, with a smattering of sunshine if we're lucky (though I won't be lucky cos I'll be fast asleep, still better doing that than looking out the window thinking how miserable it is out there!!! ), it really has been a pretty rubbish month for weather, only a few days where it was nice, then back to being typically british... :-nuts

Same here, Pontiend: I popped my Green Bean plantlets out on a table in the garden today to begin hardening them before planting out around the end of the first week of June and we promptly had the first of several hailstorms today - I picked the table up lock stock and barrel and shoved it in our porch!

My wife is the gardener here. She is not happy. She took her bedding plants out of the greenhouse this morning.
I don't know if they survived.

About week ago we had hailstorm (in some places hails were up to 5cm in diameter), I have got only 1cm. Lucky, my newly-build green hose with all plants already planted survived
