Got a Tree trunk to dig out today - at least the surrounding ground will be soft!

And I've just found some lumps of crumbly concrete dressing fallen from the eaves and landed right between our two cars. There's lucky (that it missed).

I'm in the middle of a re-pointing programme at the moment and was due to tackle the eaves earlier this week, but on a whim I did some other bits and bobs instead.

No harm done, thankfully.

Gale force winds here, yesterday, while driving, I managed to pass through most forms of weather, including rain, bright, almost blinding, sunshine, followed by a hail storm.
This might be considered barbeque weather in Scotland but I'm thinking of hibernating :)

We have heavy rain showers, some sunshine and an occasional glimpse of sun. It's 9° outside and I've lit the log burner.............off to search for discarded flammable peasantry........

Nearly got the tree stump out >>> Ground is nice and soft, giving decent access to cut roots a foot or so away from the core, but we have clay soil so removing it from around the root ball is painstaking as it's caked solid! Just about got it ready to rock, but have been rained, sleeted and hailed upon in the process.

Can you tow it out with the car ?

Lashing rain here at the moment , but apparently tomorrow is going to be the best of the three days this weekend.

Very, very windy here and set to get stronger over the next few hours. My dish is trying to fly away :( Doesn't help living in a top floor flat on a Bristol Channel coast!

The wind has eased up around these parts, so it's calmed down somewhat, but it's still cold and rainy, with the occasional flash of the sun...

If tomorrow is as predicted though, it'll all be nice and warm(ish), so will be worth the wait... :D

And the tree is well and truly out. Furthermore, I did not go flying backwards base over apex when it finally came fre.

The job's a good 'un.

Have to correct you there, Pontop Pike is the transmitter as it's a pike (of sorts) that sits atop the hill that is Pontop... :-rofl2
