No problems m8 happy to help.

Now I hope someone can give me a hand.

At the moment I have a new white card and have that in my dm500 running newcs. Card shows fine with entitlements etc no problem

From that I have it ported to my debian server running CCcam 2.1.1 and it freezes both locally on my dm 800 and for the users.

Now to rule out the debian server I sent the ports to dm800 to act as CCcam server and it's doing the same thing.

So now at the moment I have my 800 connected directly to dm500 with n line and thats perfect with users connecting direct with N line.

Here's my CCcam

You have au on

<user>
<name>user</name>
<password>pass</password>
<hostname>localhost</hostname>
<au>on</au>
<sidoverride>on</sidoverride>
<spider>No</spider>
<rate>1</rate>
<status>access</status>
<allow>skycard</allow>
</user>

Make it like this
<user>
<name>user</name>
<password>pass</password>
<hostname>localhost</hostname>
<au>off</au>
<sidoverride>on</sidoverride>
<spider>No</spider>
<rate>1</rate>
<status>access</status>
<allow>skycard</allow>
</user>

The only other thing you could try is the card at a higher clock speed, as you have not specified one it will be running at 357 as default.

Thanks for that info but I have tried that and It's still doin the same thing. I am currently using newcs for people to connect should I allow Au with them ?

It's just really weirod that newcs is perfect and cccam freezes.

Is there anyway to limit reshares in newcs ?

I heard somewhere that you can change the rate to make resharing hard

Hi all,
Guys i have tried several Newcs.xml,with no joy,
Pretty sure boxid is ok (derived from B16MCC excellent generator and other) Newcs is 1.66, only sharing locally & sharing ok with old blue card (its only FTV),
However this is Irish selection, and box is dream 5620 (single slot). but I cant see this is relevant?
Should the basic config for say dm500s be the one?
Any suggestions welcome.

I would block all au from peers as well as local.

No way to reduce reshare.

Take a look at a default newcs.xml and you will see plenty of othet configuration changes you can make to newcs.

My new card came yesterday (residential sub full with HD). I put it in my DM7025 and checked the entitlements in NewCS web interface, it showed nothing at all. So, I put it in the sky hd box and it auth'd the card instantly. Now put it back in the DM and the entitlements show. I connected to NewCS 1.66 from my DM8000 and all channels clear just fine including sports, movies and HD. The most important thing for me at this time is to get it working in an external reader, I just don't trust the internal readers, its way too hot. I work in the manufacturing industry as an electrical technician , I see this kind of stuff all the time, something that runs that hot is gonna fail eventually !

I have several different kinds of external reader which I'm gonna start testing on tonight. I will post my findings if I can get any of them to run this card.

should do mate.

NewCS 1.66 / CCcam 2.1.1 is on the Cams list when viewed from my DM8000. Not sure if nabilo's addons panel differs from box to box or maybe different for E1 and E2. Deepdiver will tell you that.

E1 and E2 Nabilo panels are separate :)

Thought the temperature problem had been considered irrelevant! would it be possible to put figures on comparative temps?

Keep up the great work B16MCC :-worship

Maybe it has mate:) , I'm not disputing anything tested by anyone else, I'm simply remarking that I'd rather run the card in an external reader if possible and if I manage it I'll show you how I did it....

I've been trying to get this working but not much luck :-(

I have 2 card readers: Phoenix Infinity USB (has USB for power, RS232 for data), and I also have a Smargo Smartreader+ (pure US:cool:.

I have newcs 1.66 trying to read the new white sky card. It doesnt matter which card reader I use, newcs is unable to detect the card ("Unknown Card, CAID 0000).

What kind of card reader is built into the dreambox that you guys are using? Are they available for purchase separately?

Has any body else got the new white sky card working using either of the above card readers? If so, please share your newcs config!

Regards

This is what I would like to know what makes the internal cardreader in the dm so good.

Hi lads,

I have a DM7025 and I've followed all the advice in this thread but I cannot get my sky sports to work. My white card is clearing the regular subscription channels such as sky 1, MTV etc. However it is not clearing Sky Sports 1, 2 and 3. I had left the sky card in it's original box over night and all day today in case an update was needed.

Here is my NewCS file code:

Code:
<?xml version="1.0"?>

<newCSconfig>

</httpd>
</newCSconfig>

In CCcam I've used both of these lines with the same result

Code:
N: 192.168.1.2 10000 cccam cccam 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14
or
N: 192.168.1.2 10000 Nabilo NabiloPWD 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

Also, I have no idea how to access the NewCS web interface, so if someone could explain how I access this that would be great. In CCcam Info the Entitlements read:
card reader /dev/sci2
handled 0(0) ecms and 0(0) emms
DreamCrypt card 21c9f747

Any help would be appreciated as this is beginning to drive me nuts!
Cheers :cool:

Hi guys, good weekend ?

I spent a few hours of mine testing external readers. So far I have been unsuccesful. Here's the readers I've tested.

1. Infinity USB - In Phoenix mode using a PL2302 USB to Com adapter.
Note:- You cannot use the com port on any Enigma 2 dreamboxes, its reserved for DreamUp flashing only. Hence the reason for the USB to Serial adapter.
I set the infinity USB in windows to start up in Phoenix mode at 3.58mhz.
I used the USB connection to power it and the serial connection connected to the PL2302 adapter.

2. Infinity USB Smart - I installed a VCP module in windows to run it in phoenix mode again at 3.58mhz.

3. Smargo - Tried all sorts of settings including running it in phoenix mode. Bare in mind, what ever settings you make to the smargo must be made in the machine you want to use it in. Setting it in windows and then removing it to plug it into your Dreambox will reset some settings. Use the linux tools to set it via telnet in the Dreambox.

I tried all of these readers on both the Dreambox 7025 & 8000 and on Ubuntu in a VM. Every time the 'dmesg' command reported the device attached and assigned to /dev/usb/tts/0 on the Dreambox, and /dev/ttyUSB0 on the ubuntu VM.
Despite this, trying many different parameters I still have no joy.
Bare in mind when using an external reader NewCS requires a couple of extra settings that are not needed when using a Sci device.
You should add the following when attempting to use an external reader.

<reset>normal</reset>
<parity>odd</parity>

As I say these are not needed by the sci readers as it ignores them. These are needed by an external reader and are applicable to any NDS card.

What I'm not sure about is the capability of newcs regarding external readers. It simple may not be possible. Very frustraiting to say the least. May be Uvadi will fix it for us with the next CCcam release, then it will be back to the smargo , nice and easy... I really hope so !:)
