Sicral 2 (alternative name: Syracuse 3C) destination is 37°E.

In the speech a few minutes ago it was said, the old Sicral 1 (21.8°E) will live its extended life until 2018.

The Thor 7 has maneuvered and changed orbit (now is around 14,5°W), no longer follows the TLE.

They began testing the Thor 7... for now tested the transponder:

So far all the tests seem to be in the top end of the band where most of the Eastern European channels are. I wonder if this means that Thor 5 & 6 will be used mainly for Nordic area (Canal Digital) in the lower bands and more of the Eastern European channels moved over to Thor 7 (which has a nice eastern beam) and some of the channels that need a Europe wide beams sticking to current Thor 5/6 wide beam at the top end of the band with Thor 7.
