Hi tempo,
I don't know when you caught signal into subband, because in my area I've not seen on the spectrum yet.I wonder why? What's the spot used for 10700-10950 MHz?

Hi satesco,
Sorry, 10750 MHz is wrong peak from close placed circular LNB of another dish (LOF=10750 MHz). I prefer to scan panorame spectrum (full band), so I always have fake peak 10750 MHz on the spectrum.
In previous post I meant strong carriers inside DTH subband 11700-12500 MHz.

When is it likely to start regular transmissions? Will be interesting to see what channels disappear...

I am not too worried. After Thor 1 disappeared, it has been relatively easy to receive 1W here....

Yes, in this afternoon's TLE the movement has stopped completely.
Though a bit early to be sure, it appears the location for Thor 7 has become 0.65°W.

For comparison, Thor 5 is at 0.75°W and Thor 6 is at 0.85°W.

Why the minor difference in locations? Same with Nilesat/Eutelsat 7/7.3w, Astral 4A/SES-5 and of course the UK spot.

I know it doesn't matter to those in the middle of footprints but it does to those who need big dishes to receive these signals.

That allows uplinking to neighbouring satellites separately, if their uplink frequency bands happen to be the same.
But maybe there are more reasons.
