I must be missing something:-(

So far a busy time for this rig is 3 aircraft at once. But it is still early days. I bought a meter or so of coax earlier on, so I can have a go at the co-liner :)

Hmm which desktop setting are you using - there is an option to change it. Im using the default one

VRS prog then that dropdown that says default version - that option in the middle

I was using the "desktop" option, (2nd down)

Since the twig Mk3 I now have 7 planes with 3 showing the plot.

Enjoying the wait.

On now 4 are on the plot :D

Change to default & see if you now get the option to tick the receiver ranges.

On the "default" setting it goes to the webpage, then the website address bar seems to put the /VirtualRadar/desktop.html I will have another look about in a sec.

This is the version of virtual radar server (vrs) I am running

Screenshot 2016-09-18 12.52.22.png

I thought I had read a post from @Llew asking about the range rings?

As I wondered if me or both of us had not installed something.

Snap.

Range rings are set up in menu options map tab within the gear wheel.

Yeah, got the range rings, but never got the other coloured spiky patterns AS gets. Antenna/dongle not cabled to the PC at present, so can't join in for testing.

It's the spikes I can't see, the same as you.

I have the range rings.

And to be honest I can't believe how well it's doing, for an "twig" I made myself :D

I have a pc connected to the tv panel, dongle on top of the tv mount, the 6th segment is nearly touching the ceiling.:D

This is silly. We are running the same version of the VRS so we should all be able to get the spikies. I'll have a play & see if I can get the option to disappear.

Nah the only way I can break it is to use the old desktop which gives the google maps option. That breaks the options completely, it doesnt show at all.

BTW Im using firefox & chrome - I find chrome better for this as firefox has got to be a right resource hog in the last year or so & my old Dell computer starts complaining at the load when FF is running VRS.

Yes, used FF and Desktop option but despite everything covered by clicking the radio buttons that should put the 'spikes' on the map, nothing happened. I'll try again when I've I've got it cabled up.
