One other thought occurs - which port are you picking the output from dump1090 on? Im using 30005. I think some of the others will work but dont necessarily pass all the info to VRS.

Try 30005. You can test if it works by using the test connection button.

You should always take a dongle along when you meet a Nurse.

I use 30003. Javascript is on in my browsers. I'll have some time to try VRS tomorrow, deep into Linux compiling today.

Ah ha :D I have gone back to port 31001, after trying to change the ports.

And I now have the range spike option in the menu option.

I'm using 31001 Chris, but that's what my RTL1090 source uses.

Quite busy tonight, not much interesting. Still get only the rings though.

Edit - Just seen your post, 31001 it is.

From this page I changed the port number to 30003 and got a message about it couldn't connect.

Screenshot 2016-09-19 19.45.11.png

I then changed the port number back to 31001, restarted the vrs and loaded it in Mozilla.

And had the option of the receiver range.

Great stuff Chris glad to see some spikes at last, although you appear to have moved to Paris as that spike looks odd to say the least:D
That's the next thing I need to sort out. Still it seems like it's working all ok.

Odd i needed to "change" the port, and go back, before the option would pop up.

Still chuffed it's working :-woohoo

I found if I shut VRS down I had to reset everthing up from scratch which was annoying. Its a bit of a faff but I did eventually manage to get it all set up how I liked then export some setting which you then put into one of the pages in VRS and it all starts correctly now.
