My Satellite Setup
seven antennas,one toroidal with 16 lnbs,
6 satellite receivers,2 Meters,9 PC cards(tbs6983,6903,6590,6504,6522,6209,2603,6909X,6903X,6902se,skystar hd2),2 tuners usb-tbs5927 & tbs5925,Skystar HD.
Satellite reception between 100.5E-50.0W
My Location

I was curious if I could receive BADR-8 with a 1.10m antenna.
Surprisingly, the signal can also be locked with the small antenna in my area.
This new BADR exceeded all my expectations when you think that the (E)MENA spot, on many Arab satellites, does not target many areas of Europe. The operator probably thought of the Arabs on our continent(?).
Let's hope this spot stays at this strength.

You are assuming that all regular TV traffic has now been finally migrated to Badr-8
What you see and what is final might not be the same, you are assuming that they are the same.

You are assuming that the malfunctioned old inclined BADR-6 has been pumped up with something and is now booming power down the earth so that I am now finally able to receive certain transponders which I haven't been able to receive so far (with surplus of +6dB/+7 d:cool: while strong new BADR-8 nearby is still waiting to receive traffic?
I'll let the readers here to get the opinion on their own.

I am making no assumptions.

My point is that there may still be other frequencies from Badr's 4 to 7 that could yet be transferred to Badr-8 and that it is not finally completed.
That is all, no pumping, no booming, just a point that there may still be stuff to be moved to Badr-8.
