Flysat has it badr7 MENA, but never had signal from badr7 MENA here. 11230H has easy FEC, but nothing. Lyngsat has it bard7 NWA, but someone else said it's not that either. Also ABAANTU package, is for africa, not mena, see their homepage

In my location (Iraq, which means in Middle East) and my dish 110cm, it is impossible to receive NWA Beam, I do not receive any frequencies from the Northwest Africa beam.

It is possible that frequency 11471 V 4166 has had its signal strengthened in Europe while its signal in MENA has been weakened.
Conversely, with frequency 11230 Horizontal 27500, its signal became strong in MENA and decreased in Europe.

The other reason is vertical polarization, the signal is often better than horizontal polarization.

Another possibility is that the frequency 11472, vertical 4166, on Badr-8 or Badr-5.

Or the frequency 11230 horizontal on Badr-5

I got an odd result today from my test scans with Badr-8.

After creating a table with a list of Badr-8 frequencies common to both Lyngsat and Flysat I measured the dB level using a Dr HD F15 receiver.
I thought I would check to see if the dish was peaked on the satellite so nudged it 0.2 degrees East and measured the dB levels again.

Three of the 16 frequencies I measured in the list increased in dB level due to the 0.2 degrees East nudge
Twelve of the 16 frequencies decreased in dB level, one was practically no change.

The table is attached below.
If anyone else wishes to try the same test it would be interesting to see the results?
There could be some anomaly at play from the beams as I am located in the UK. Some of these frequencies are fringe reception, out of beam.
Or, the three frequencies that increased are not on the same satellite as the twelve frequencies that decreased from the 0.2E nudge?

I had thought of that but the 2.0m dish I used does not have a very wide beamwidth and another 0.2 degrees East saw the signals that had increased reduce in level.
Also, for the 11747V (SR27500) that showed the biggest increase there is no frequency close to that in V polarity on 28.2E

The frequency of 11739V in the picture is from 23.5E
I was moving East, further away from 23.5E when the signal for 11747V increased

I'm not sure about interference from 23.5E, the dish is 2.0m with a Ku-Band beamwidth of 0.93 degrees.

Interference from 2.5 degrees away on a dish that has a beamwidth of 0.93 degrees would be unusual.
I suppose it could be a side lobe or another harmonic?
