Great pictures of the new LNB Remlap. Well, I had a site survey done today big garden but tree problems. However, found a spot were I can follow the full arc eventually but need a good heavy weight ground stand and large mast.

Still getting somewhere now. Anybody, seen Mistersat's 1.5 Gibertini video and two superjacks to track ku band and c band. Any thoughts on this and suggestions for a ground stand welcome.
Anybody pulling in the Channels from 30 and 38 east on C band at the moment? Also, interested to find out if anyone is getting Nilesat 7W horizontal channels.

Eutelsat 3A at 3.3E found I think.

Libya Radio Television Mux on 3764 R and L 20330

Also Rascom at 2.8E is showing signs of life, blindscanning is finding a number of transponders including the Pan-African e-Network data transponder on 4023 R 10000

Any possibility of Yamal @ 49E? Or can you not see that far?

I came to the conclusion after reading German forums about the polariser that it had not been setup in correctly, now seems to be okay also my dad as I've said is better at metal work has fashioned a better simple way to attach the full C band LNB to the LNB arm and now it's increased signal across the board, some by 10%. I've come to the conclusion any home made LNB C-Band collar won't work well so ordered one designed to go with a Gibertini dish from German ebay we'll see how it goes..

Is this the collar you mean remlap?

ebay.de 310233384434

I'm in the process of setting up a Gibby 1.2, and will no doubt try C-band with it eventually.

Thanks mate. Got to see how the dish compares with the SMW on ku band first. Oh, and get it up the pole!

From what I've seen limited KU my old gal is very good, she pulled in the Nordic Beams on 5E really easy without any real adjusting/fine tuning and honestly not the best LNB either spare Tevion I had laying around.

I think my dish has been to Spain and or Portugal and then here in her life time.

Looking forward to seeing your results, I maybe just a fan of Gibby's

TELEAFRICA GABON on 5W is giving an absolutely cracking signal tonight with polariser setup correctly. A great buy.

Collar arrived from Germany today, works very well and looks the part.

Came with a little pack of sweets which makes me think its the same guys that were behind DVB-Shop24 who used to always do this, they were the ones who I bought my Gibertini dishes and SkyStar2 years ago now.

Can you post a link to that bracket Remlap, I wouldn't mind one myself. I'm another ex customer of DVB-Shop24, they were the only people stocking the Anthracite 1m Gibertini when I bought mine

It's going to rain this weekend, and my dad came up with idea to cut down a plastic plate from an old picnic set and just pop it inside, seems to be no signal loss with it fitted hopefully it'll keep the water out.

Think it looks like an oversized Technomate Universal LNB now :-rofl2

Cheers Remlap, I've emailed them the same question, presume they give a total to pay after 'buying' it? It'll make a quick swap a lot easier, might even treat myself to another C band LNB. I must be a real cheapskate, I used a bit of clingfilm over mine when it was on the offset dish.

No they gave me the postage price and I typed it in while paying for the order. Any LNB in mind, AV-Comm guys who made my polariser seem to love a Zinwell model.

The plates haven't been used in years better to be used for something :).

I didn't spot the question in your reply, not decided on the LNB yet although I have now ordered the bracket. The Zinwell has a slightly higher noise/temp figure than the ESX I'm currently using although we all know that can be a little misleading. I'll go through a few other forums and see what's popular or has good reviews as I think I'm going to need all the help I can get with such a small dish.

I'll be following your posts, there is really no definitive best LNB to buy like with KU I guess, Zinwell right now is a bit pricey to import either from Australia or Spain.
