My Satellite Setup
motorized Gibertini 85cm, fixed dishes from 1m to 64cm, generic FTA HD RX, TBS DVB-S2 PC card, a pile of bits and pieces
My Location
Hadrians Wall
The dish face is quite flat on this dish, not sure if its because i am used to looking at bigger dishes ? or this dish is made slightly different ? any info on this type of dish st1 please.

They are heavier than modern dishes and the weight and the wide dish mount attachment in the middle of the dish keeps it stable in high winds. That's why I had been using one for around 25 years. :D

Hi a few more bits picked up, its taken me months/over a year to decide on what bearing to use and in the end I've decided on these, bmw ball joints, they should last a life time on a dish but easily to find in later years if not :).

ive decided to put it on a 3 inch pole so the pole cap is 3.5.

Change of plan, its now going on square box section that will take a 3.5 inch pole.

I haven't had much time for the last 3 years Alex to play with dishes, but my home is now in better shape :) and I am rewarding myself with some dish time :)

a bit more done

Hopefully I will nearly finish this today, a bit more done it fell funny for bolting the ball joints on with what I am using, so with the hose pipe on standby to cool it down I've tack welded them on.

Fascinating to see this thing grow out of bits and pieces, and not necessarily heavily mod'ed existing mounts.
Good work martin-f!
