you have said this before, about 26 and 28,what size dish starts to be a problem, and where is this problem (not uk as 26 is 2 weak there)
10.730V - 26.07 dec 0.01
10.730V - 28.41 dec 0.08
10.770H -26.07 dec 0.01
10.773H -28.41 dec 0.08
10.890H -26.07 dec 0.01
10.891H -28.41 dec 0.08
dont see a problem with other 2d tps....
They don't have to be on the same centre frequency. Badr5 transponders are a good 25MHz wide and 2D's about 20MHz.
Astra 2 is the jam in the sandwich between 26E and 30E, both of which have transponders in
band D. Have a look at the spectrum grabs below (taken from my home location) and just remember things are going to get much worse once Badr5 starts lighting up more transponders.
180cm dish pointing at 28E vertical, does a pretty good job of filtering off Badr5 transponders.
30E vertical (on a 90cm dish)... note the 2 transponders in
band D at the top of the spectrum.
26E vertical (on a 90cm dish)... note the 3 transponders in
band D at the top of the spectrum.
27.5E vertical (on a 90cm dish)... Badr5 is still the powerhouse in
band D.
28E vertical (on a 90cm dish)... Badr5 transponders are still superimposed over the Astra 2D transponders. Also note those transponders from Badr5 are almost the same level as the three 1N transponders below them in
band C. Once you get to 28.2E (just 0.2º west of this grab) Badr5 transponders merge with 2D ones, but can still be clearly seen.
Break down of the 28E vertical spectrum using a 180cm dish.
In the very south of the Costa Blanca and the north of Murcia it has been common practice for the last few years to install 1.3m dishes for BBC/ITV reception, but now with Badr5 there 10729V, 10758V, 10788V, & 10818V only work between midday and 8pm, and are either heavily pixelated or non-existent at all other times. And there is no 2D horizontal reception in the region, so it is either BBC1 HD from 10847V if they have an HD receiver and ITV1 CI from 10906V, but no ITV2 or ITV4, nor any SD BBC channels. And no C4, E4, or More4.
