Channel 131 is showing ITV1 Wales +1 from Astra 1n as the TS is 080f and this is defo Astra 1n as its a TID of 2063. Any how I am having a few drinks before my discectomy tomorrow.
woborny said:I wonder if Huevos can confirm this, but I have been getting a number of calls from around the Benidorm - Alicante area, where many 80 and 90cm dishes are no longer getting the Fives or ITVs now they have moved to 1N. Those dishes do seem to be performing OK 20Kms further north, and alot further south, so perhaps we have located a cold spot for 1n reception on the Costa Blanca - similar to the 2D cold spot perhaps.
Although, given the number of cowboys around , it could be that those dishes are not aligned (or instaleld) correctly, hence the loss.
We were due to be going to Lanzarote the week after next but my back problems mean I haven been able to walk more than a few yards since last week so they`re doing me as an urgent case. Any how I will take the Dell in as its a clinic which says it has internet for patients(allegedly). At least I will be able to do something ..right another whisky and bed I think. Good luck to all the people especially in far off shores who want nothing more than to watch a bit tof telly....speak to you all soon, I hope.Shrubsole said:Ouch! Good luck with the Surgery. Does the Hospital have Wi-Fi? You can lay on your front and put the keyboard on the floor and type away.

Cheers. Good to know that 1N is possible in that area on 80-90cm dishes. I may have to make a job list and get down there and see what I can do as had a fair number of emails and phone calls from that area.pipino said:i can confirm that around benidorm area if you have a well set good quality dish and LNB you can receive astra 1N no problems at all ,,but most are rubish installs performed by cowboys and apaches
milestone 11 said:Can anyone tell me why the two ITV's and +1 are almost as before but other channels from 1N are not being received? Excuse once again my ignorance of such matters, will a better LNB help or is it purely a dish size problem?
Don't forget most installs in Benidorm are lash-ups just attached to balcony railings and such-like with one U-bolt.woborny said:I wonder if Huevos can confirm this, but I have been getting a number of calls from around the Benidorm - Alicante area, where many 80 and 90cm dishes are no longer getting the Fives or ITVs now they have moved to 1N. Also Benidorm is one of those areas where everyone only has small dishes so they all have the channels programmed through "other channels". So most likely cause is just the frequency change means the Sky receiver needs to be manually remapped.
Anyway, I installed an 80cm dish in Benidorm this afternoon with an Inverto Black Premium (that's the cheapo one). It worked fine and MER was 9.0dB on the 1N transponders.
The screenshots are from my Fibo90. On a stable signal my receiver starts to pixel heavily at 37% SNR on a 5/6 FEC source so they will give you an idea of the margin.

Yes, loud and clear with a good picture. Been good all night, just watched a 1.5hr programme on +1. E4 excellent C4HD good when it's there but pixellates and drops out for a second once every couple of minutes.chelsea_baz said:are you saying you are getting itv central south and itv central east on a 1.35 in corralejo..... at the moment.... can you dopuble check as i think everyone else here has lost it
Those are the labels that have been there for weeks. Originally they corresponded to the SIDs carrying the test channels but yesterday the real channel labels were added and these test labels given new SIDs.BLUEPLATINUM said:Four more labels have appeared on 11052 H (20700, 20711, 20715 and 20780).
So the ITV's that I'm getting aren't 1N? The chart in your thumbnail is suggesting 2A/2B. Nevertheless, still good reception on Central East, South and Wales+1.Huevos said:Those are the labels that have been there for weeks.
