I can also get most of the radio channels, the one without pictures, blue screen background?

I was advised to try and go to services and then pres 401, will this be of any use, never heard of it

Good, that sounds like your reception is OK.

The important info is on Services, 4 (system setup), 5 (system details). You'll need to make a copy of all that as they will ask you about some or all of it when talking to Sky.

but i have never had a sky account in the UK, i have no reason to call them.

cant i just do the call back when i get home to slovakia?

will this damage my mates box, card paring etc, if i do it in his box?

If they know you are calling from outside the UK, they will not activate it.

i have just turned the box over and wrote all the codes down, no idea which one they will need.

even if i ring them from in the Uk, i have no account with them, they have never heard of me.

I have no idea if they will register a new card with this second hand box i bought,

Yes they will activate it - as long as they think you are in the UK.

Hi there,

Does anyone have any ideas what i tell or ask sky in order to get the FTTA card now that I am in the UK for a few days.

I have never done this, how can i justify needing this card registering to the pace 2600 box?

Do I need to be a registered customer, and advice please.

As i Hve all the details with me so as to be able to talk to them on the phone.

Appreciate any help :-righton

When making a Post, click on Go Advanced, then on Manage Attachments.

Max pic size limited, so you may have to shrink it/them with PixResizer (qv)

just tell them you want to access the addiotnal free to view channels on teh satillete, if they say we can offer you sky package jsut say your not interested, there nothing special you need to say its justa card

yes, but they will be pairing it to a second hand box, that i bought.

and if i use my parents address, what do i tell them when they already have a running sky setup.

where can i be putting it, can i tell then i want to use freeview in our conservatory?

Doesn't matter, just order it, they won't ask any questions apart from the address and the card will be sent to the UK property.
