Ok, can someone remind us all when the next action is?

I thought it was Tuesday night for the remaining 1N Channels to be cleared out, but I've seen comments by others suggesting tonight.

Does anyone have the facts?

Both ITV and C4 move from 1N to 2E from early tomorrow morning. By the time people wake up tomorrow, 1N should almost be cleared of TP's.

Can someone confirm, the Data TP on 11009V, is this still active and the only data TP left in Band C? Is 12129H now carrying an identical copy of this?

On the question of spot/wide switching and whether these satellites have fixed spots in Bands C and D; if 1N is anything to go by then they must be switchable in both lower bands as this data TP is on one of the PE beams whereas we know previously we've seen 1N TP's active on the 'fudged' UK spot from 1N (prior to transfer to 2F).

28.2/5'E Zone 1 Mini Dish connected to DVB-S Tuner into TVHeadend/XBMC with a 60cm dish bought out for Astra 1 on Grand Prix weekends. With Android XBMC box in the kitchen too.

South Notts.
It's less of an issue if you have fibre internet (eg BT Infinity) as you usually get a decent upload as well as download speed. Standard ADSL and Virgin Media is pretty restricted in the upload.
Indeed - being able to stream BBC ONE HD over your internet connection straight from TVHeadend to XBMC with pretty much no lag is awesome :) (80mpbs down, 20mbps up at home; 100mbps down at work and 13mbps down at my parents)

yep, gone. Interesting they move all the PE stuff into high band. Supports my on going belief, 2F cannot broadcast the PE beam below 11.2 GHz ;)

It must have switched off just before peeter3000 checked it!

So, apart from the 4x ITV and 2x Ch4 TP's, that's pretty much 1N cleared.

Looks like the PE footprint TP's are being moved in to the high band. I still wonder if we've got some more 2A to 2E migrations this week though (the 2A TP's still there prior to the migration of the others to 2E. C4's TP40 (12480V) must be ultimately moving to 2E/2F to allow 4Music to go FTA as an LCN is reserved for it on Freesat. Time will tell I guess!

They could also move it to 11.127V - plenty of free space there.

And there are still those two data carriers 11464 11479 which are on 1N as well...

Yep, they could but I think this capacity is reserved for C4HD+1 and 4seven HD when C4 get them live on various platforms. How long has 11464 and 11479 been active, was one of these on 11186H prior to a move? Are we sure these other two carriers in the ex-EB1 sub-band are from 1N or could they have been migrated to 2E?

I was able to get an engineer at O2 to fiddle with the settings at the exchange and sacrifice some of my download speed to raise my upload speed from its theoretical 1.5Mbps to 2.5Mbps. I get a regular actual 1.8 - 2Mbps upload speed now.

But that's due to change in a couple of days time as Sky slowly get around to digesting all of O2's former customers. I have had long discussions with Sky sales droids about this when they phone me up with some fatuous offer about which I have no interest. The one thing I am interested in seems to stump them and all they can refer me to is the line checker which predicts I'll get about 1.3Mbps.

I'll have to wait for fibre now.

Sounds you I'm in the same situation as you only I'm on BE at the moment and looks like I'm going to be "downgraded" to Sky before fibre comes out.

so the official nominal position of Astra 2E is 28.35°E, not 28.2°E. Right between 28.5 and 28.2, a compromise... the next sign of Eutelsat - Astra hand over.

We've not had any reception reports from Iceland on here which, historically, has had good 2D and 1N reception.

Any Icelandic folk out there want to give us a reception report so AS can add a pin to his map over that far part of NW Europe?

Channel 4HD recently gone AWOL so it looks as if it's been transferred to 2E UK spot already.

Channel 4 HD has been on 2F UK for several weeks. I do not anticipate it will transfer to 2E.

Oh, ok. It was fine up to an hour ago so assumed it was part of tonight's changeover. Loss must be due to poor weather then. :-doh
