If it carries on, I think it may even reach 10" or so later :-lmao :-rofl2

On a serious note, it hasn't stopped snowing all day here, but did manage to complete my two freesat+ installations :D

Good going, Paul. I've been wearing a fleece indoors today - absolutely refuse point blank to put the Portable Gas Heater on until 15.00.

House is generally ok with the Central Heating on tickover, but the Lounge is on the North side so needs supplementary oomph.

And we're not permitted to burn Peasants any more.

Really? Currently wearing t shirt, polo shirt, fleece, zip up fleece jacket, padded shirt and wooly hat. Temp in living room is +11.5°C but will light the log burner after dark. (Got to pay for new TV somehow)

What a pleasure it is then, to live in a civilised country where such a quaint practice is still encouraged.

B*gger all in the way of more snow here, same amount as earlier, and it's sub-zero now, and little chance of more snow according to the Netweather and the BBC's weather guesstimates... :confused

Oh dear!

Funny how when we get a sprinkling of a foot or three up here in the North (and the Borders) there's hardly a ripple in national Media, but my word how it has ramped up now it has spread .................

These are pictures before and after the two hours of stuff that fell in about two hours this morning.

Nothing moving outside, though the drums speak of of road accidents in the local town thanks to numpties running out of milk though :-rofl2

I've walked up to the local newsagent to get the evening supply of Guinness.

There is one upside to all this cold clear weather - Ive got my weakest Nordic beam channels back on 5E :D

Currently watching NRK on 12015V with almost no breakup which is a rare occurrence.. (Linux box owners should investigate SCAM 3.57) ;)

I'm under orders to clear the dish tomorrow as (thankfully) there's no Russian TV on either 13 or 5East

(I might claim the LNB has failed)

Awoke to heavy snow fall at 8am and another 2-3" has laid overnight. It's stopped now and may be turning to rain. I hope it does thaw during the day as I need some cat food tomorrow (no, it's for the cats!)

Just about to venture out with the dogs. I may be some time.......

....................but I made it back!!

It's rapidly turned to rain, but it's having little effect on melting the snow. The chickens, goats, geese and duck really don't like this weather, however my two dogs seem to revel in it. Temperature has risen a little since dawn and is currently +1.3°C.

I bet that's played havoc with your target of 14".
