Its an absolutely glorious afternoon up here - we have been sitting outside in the sun with mugs of tea! - never did that in December at the old place - the sun was hiding behind trees.

13E dish repairs going well - another half an hour or so will see it sorted. :)

Nothing bad down south as yet, though tomorrow is looking ropey as far as ladder work.

Are Peasants in short supply this year?

Plenty of peasants around here. We have a bouquet of them in the local McDonalds, already fattened up before Chrisymas.

Had about 3cm around here this morning, but it's now easing right off - although there's been about 10-12cm a few miles West around High Wycombe.

The snow that fell yesterday is frozen solid, main roads ok but sideroads like ours are down to a single track, we were lucky, further North and South appear to have had worse snowfall overnight, we had none

No snow but there has been ahard hard frost overnight, the outside temperature is currently -5C and its misty. The hoar frost looks every so pretty though.

No playing outside with dishes today unless the sun comes out :(

Here in Wirral, the Riviera of England, we have a light dusting of snow. Although I haven't been out properly the side road outside our house is free of snow (just wet) without gritting.

Going further into Cheshire though it's a different matter. Fifteen miles away the other side of Chester the roads are quite deep with snow.

Checking out a few Coventry webcams for snow I found this on Google, no idea who these belong too even after a few searches and a quick streetview. https://www.insecam.org/en/view/168735/

Possibly the university.

'Ground control' arrives at Leicester — University of Leicester

The feed assembly looks like the size required for weather satellite tracking, which would tie in with the dual axis tracking on each of them.

I assume there are four of these since the camera mentions ST2 ST3 and ST4, unless ST1 met its demise previously

At least I won't offend anyone other than myself::rolleyes:
OTOH, judging by your earlier comment about the roads, you need only take a step outside the garden gate to be far further down the "slippery slope" that I will be (roads are pretty much dead horizontal around here):-lol

Absolutely white outside this morning. Getting nowt on the dish, fluctuating between 0%-30% SNR since 8am this morning with occassional rises to normal signal every few seconds.

My motor has about an inch of snow on top of it, I'm hoping when it melts, the water doesnt find its way inside of it.

Possibly the university...

Now the vis is improving I can see these are all C-Band(?) mesh dishes. Nothing obvious on the rooftops above the BBC and Virgin media pins on Google Maps.
