Nope. nothing like that round here. I believe one of the neighbours uses a 4G dongle but they are elderly & are likely to be light users. No Fixed Wireless Access schemes?
A friend of mine is in a similar situation as you are in Devonshire sticks - ADSL is max 4mpbs and weak 4G signal. He splashed out on Starlink, which, he says, is decent and I think he gets up to 100mbps on it?Nope. nothing like that round here. The village has got less than 100 people in it - our electoral roll is around 80 according to the polling place tellers last time I asked so fixed wireless is very low priority for the providers. There are a few schemes further out round here but they are only found up the very remote valleys in the foothills of the Cheviots where you would never get broadband over the copper wires

In our row of 6 cottages 2 of us already have fttp installed, 2 are looking into it with one almost definite, 1 chap is planning to move so hes not interested & no idea about the last one - Ive not seen him around to chat to for a while.
One of my friends living in the arse end of nowhere (middle of Devon) has no chance of FTTx. He is just one of two houses for about a mile. His non-21CN BT line is offering him a paltry 4Mbit with no 4G service. He bit the bullet and went with Musk-link. Expensive but that was the only option. In our row of 6 cottages 2 of us already have fttp installed, 2 are looking into it with one almost definite, 1 chap is planning to move so hes not interested & no idea about the last one - Ive not seen him around to chat to for a while.
Bloody hell mate, after all these years of struggling with single figures or less, you must feel like you've suddenly leapfrogged into the future! So glad fibre finally came your way.Fibre has come to the village at long last. And of course the first install date a month ago was cancelled when the crew arrived & found the fibre from the pole to the cottages had been terminated at the far end of our row of cottages & they couldnt do the full run that day......
Soooo having done all the legwork & had my fingers crossed we were going to be the first fibre install in the village the lass next door snuck in last week & got hers installed Although to be fair our fibre was run at the same time & left coiled round her Sky dish! Last weekend we were trundling along at a dismal 7 meg inbound & 0.5 meg outbound. Tonight we have:

Its bouncing up & down a bit - Ive seen it up as high as 150 meg inbound, but the outbound is pretty stable. But that'll do me!!
