Eddie Jordan is a closet member of the flat-earth society: He has just referred to fans "up and down the globe"!

Whilst on the subject of EJ, can someone please tell him that putting your shirt in a hot wash will make the colours run.

Further to that, race day arrives and he's wearing what's possibly his worst shirt this season (BTW, did you know he wears an Irish?)

You do know that quoting your own Posts is a sign of incipient madness?

Well, I quite surprised to score 102 points, after what happened to Red Bull! I think I can just count myself in that battle for the last podium place but I'd have to have a miracle of a result. This year has made me rethink my tactics for next season though.

Abu Dhabi report - league qualifying

Norm ran away with the qualifying points, scoring an impressive 36 points. Rick was the only near challenger taking the second slot on the front row with 34. Everyone else were also rans this week.

Race report

Well Abu Dhabi finally came good and provided quite an entertaining race. Things livened up on the second corner when Seb popped a rear tyre and he spun off. The resulting damage from the ruined tyre flailing around at the back on the trip back to the pits proved terminal and he sat the rest of the race out. That and the two rear wing zones opened the race up and allowed Lewis to take a masterful win.

League details.

Norm topped the league yet again with 128 points, this time around only 5 other folk broke the 100 point mark:

128 - norm
115 - topper
113 - analoguesat
109 - rick
103 - tivu
102 - sonnetpete

With only one race left we can crown Norm as league champion - he has a 120 point league. Tivu is almost secure in second, barring a meltdown of Vettel like proportions, taking almost a 50 point lead into the last race.

The race for the 3rd place on our podium has suddenly become very interesting indeed. Just over 30 points separates the teams in 3rd through 7th.

1678 - analoguesat
1675 - rick
1674 - wobbles
1661 - topper
1647 - sonnetpete

In the overall PFF1 league Norm rockets up 37 places to 73rd.

(Next season Norm will be penalised and has to make all his selection from the hopeless Hispania team) :-rofl2

So its all to play for in Brazil in 2 weeks time!

Dont forget to pimp your rides for the last race of the season.

After this weekend when we have awarded the podium places the thread will revert to the usual "winter chat" format for any banter and off season news.

BBC will not broadcast its first live race until the third round of the championship in China.
After that, it will broadcast the races in Spain, Monaco, Valencia, Britain, Belgium, Singapore, Korea, Abu Dhabi and Brazil.

For the events it shows live, there will be full coverage of qualifying and the race, with practice shown online and on its interactive channels.
At the grands prix that are not being broadcast live, there will be a highlights package shown later in the day.
For the European races this will be a 90-minutes programme broadcast at 5.30pm, while for the events that take place in the Far East there will be a two-hour programme shown at 2pm.
An announcement about its line-up will be made after the season, with current commentator Martin Brundle poised to make the switch to Sky to work alongside David Croft.

and sky are to launch a dedicated F1 HD channel
Sky says the channel will be provided at no extra cost to existing Sky Sports 1 and 2 or Sky HD subscribers, and will also be available online and through mobile and tablet devices via Sky Go.

Oooh sneaky - they wont have to give that one to their competitors that have the sports channels carriage agreements - and will be able to negotiate extra payments if they want to take it!
