watching it last night you just knew the outcome would not be good.

Seeing a car basically flung to peices in fire after hitting the concrete wall driverside up and you knew it was not going to be good.
It instantly brought back Greg Moors crash a few years ago...when he hit a concrete wall driver side up affter his card bounced and rolled at high speed across the grass at another race.

The whole aspect of the indycar will have to be looked at, the cars, the tracks, etc as well as all the spotters, who were yelling "go low go low" for the initial accident, and so all cars went low...and thats when it happened....

And to think that if the tyres had made contact like 1 degree away all may be so much different.

Shocking.
Sad.
Tragic loss.

Ive just been looking at some of the other clips and Indycar is lucky they aint looking at 4 or 5 fatalities today what with cars riding over each other, at least 5 airbourne, several ending up in the catch fencing and multiple cars ripped to pieces.

Absolutely terrifying.

Just watched it on Youtube, HD feed, frightening to watch, so many cars and nowhere to go. A sad day for all racing.

If anyone doubts the forces and speeds involved in the Las Vegas pile up heres an incredible picture of Indycar #12 about 20 feet up in the air in the midst of the mayhem. I think its Will Powers car. Will had back injuries and was taken to hospital where they were found to be minor and he was released later.

This pic is part of a series of pics that captured much of the chaos from motorsport.com

Well EJ's come up trumps shirtwise for this GP. He's either just got out of bed or is about to show you to a table and ask you if you'd prefer vindaloo or biryani (yes, I know he's in India and the shirt cost him £3)

Well it was vaguely interesting as a Race, but not at all exciting.

Well that was a reasonably entertaining first race in India. Far better then the bore-fest that was the first race in Valencia a few years ago. It'll be a while before the fantasy results are up so here the qualifying report.

The new track shook things up a bit with the highest score in our league being 28 for Rick. Four other teams scored 20 or more - wobbles, kleefar, sonnetpete and blatherskite..

League race report later :)

Have to agree, but I was hoping for better.
Hamilton and Massa seem to attract each other on track. Have to say though that was down to Massa this time, you can see him look in the mirror a few times before turning in.

First Pole of the season for me I believe :)

If they can get the track cleaned up a bit better for next year it'll make for a better spectacle.

Definatley, I've been running on f1 2011 on the PC, and those wide entries do allow varying lines, but the dust stopped that off this year. If they get the track cleaned up it's going to be a good addition to the calander

But have you seen your Points, Rick? Blotty impressive. I won't spoil it by stating the figure as that is Ross's privilege.

Indian GP race report.

Vettel lead from lights to flag and totally dominated the race. During the race he broke the record for the most laps lead during a season which was set in the early 1990's by Mansell. Button had a lonely race to second with Alonso rounding off the podium.

Having crashed during qualifying by taking a kerb too hard and breaking the front right suspension Massa did the same thing during the race but this time knocked the other front corner off!. This was one of 5 retirements - the highest attrition rate for many races.

In the league, Rick scored a magnificent 130 points, with 8 other competitors scoring in 3 figures:

130 - rick
122 - sonnetpete
117 - wobbles
116 - topper
115 - norm
113 - kleefar
109 - tivu
105 - dazdazdazzy
105 - blatherskite
103 - analoguesat

With only 2 races left I think we can say norm is going to be our league champion again. He has a 90 point lead over tivu who is fighting things out for second with wobbles.

4th-7th are scrapping for the minor places, with only 25 or so points between them. Then there is another gap and the next 6 teams have 50 points covering them

In the overall tournament our leading teams continue to put up a creditable performance, with norm being our highest placed team - in 110th overall.

Our 5 teams which are in the top 1000 overall:

110 - norm
594 - tivu
700 - wobbles
969 - rick
979 - analoguesat
