He didn't say where he'd be winning. I hear Arena Essex are looking for a lead driver for their Banger Racing team.

Well a very odd quali today, what with the tyre situation and all.

And Lewis is really down in the dumps. I suspect he's taken news of Jenson's new Contract badly and is pushing even harder at the exit door. Trouble is, nobody else wants him.

Shame he's showing such weakness of character and I do hope he picks himself up and gets on with driving the way he has shown he can.

Lewis's trouble is he is trying to hard, Jenson has matured since his championship win and this season has provided us with a most spectacular set of overtaking moves, the likes of which not many other drivers have achieved which, considering how people were describing him a couple of years ago as being 'frightened' of overtaking, just really shows how comfortable he is at Mclaren and how he has confidence in his equipment.

Always believed in Jenson, he's a class driver, with just the right balance of skill and swash buckle.:)

Interesting blog here:

which suggests up to 6 teams may have new names by next season

Belated Japan report.

Sorry its late Ive been away for the last week.

Qualifying in our championship continued the usual form will wobbles scoring 32 points and the only close chasers being Tivu on 29 and Blastherskite on 27.

For a change everybody scored something in qualifying :)

On the track the race wasnt particularly exciting. 23 cars got home ( Buemi being the solitary retirement when a front wheel fell off after a pit stop. Button took a well deserved victory but the big news was Vettel finishing 3rd to take the points needed to win the championship.

In the tournament 6 teams scored the magic 100, with kudos to tivu for scoring 120.

120 - tivu
114 - topper
113 - wobbles
111 - norm
105 - burnin rubber
104 - rick

In the PFF1 overall competition Norms slip up has seen him slide to 87th place, and we have 4 competitors in the top 1000:

87th - norm
518th - tivu
662th - wobbles
942th - ahem analoguesat :-ohmy

Tomorrow sees the Korean race with Red Bull seeking to wrap up the constructors title. :)

Yeeeeeees, I've been analysing your technique and there are some good pointers in there for my own strategy next year. Maverick certainly has come up with a fiendish formula that rewards bravado and conservatism in equal measure. Or not.

Korea report.

In qualifying wobbles lost his way and failed to take pole for the first time in ages. It was a low scoring quali with only 3 teams scoring 20 or more points (norm 21 tivu & topper 20).

I found the race was rather tedious although a good scrap between Webber and Hamilton in the last 10 laps or so livened things up a bit. Petrov got himself a 5 place grid penalty for the next race for running into Scumi and knocking his rear wing off which was quite amusing.

Red Bull wrapped up the constructors title with a 1 - 3 finish with the V taking the win.

In our fantasy game we had another impressive showing from everybody with 9 teams scoring 100 or more:

118 - analoguesat :-ohmy
117 - norm
114 - tivu
113 - sonnetpete
113 - rick
112 - topper
110 - wobbles
104 - dazdazdazzy
100 - blatherskite

Next race 2 weeks time at the new Indian track which will be an adventure for everybody..

Red Bull double world champions. Not bad for a team that has a history that included the spectacularly unsuccessful Stewart & Jaguar teams :D

A tragic reminder that motor sport is bloody dangerous. Brit Dan Wheldon has been killed in a huge pile up in an Indycar race in Las Vegas.

15 cars destroyed in "The Big One"

RIP Dan.
