Hmm.
Interesting race.
A few scary moments - front wing failure (how it did not go under the car for a massive accident I don't know!) and tyre failure on main straight at 150+mph cannot be good.
And another Aussie BBQ....
Vets now looks certain to win the Championship in Japan...a live race on the BBC...a lucky guess.....?

I did enjoy a lot of it....apart from the MW bonfire which totally ruined my pole position yesterday. I didn't have to 'suffer' Ms Perry, having watched it while munching chocolate museli at 8am.....

Dario has a concussion, a fractured vertebra that will not require surgery, and a fractured right ankle.
14 fans were also hurt when the catch fencing failed to catch all the debris

Probably about as close to going into the crowd as you could get......very scary and it's a testimony as to how strong modern race cars are that he got away (relatively) lightly........that safety/debris fencing should have been higher and stronger though....

Well with 4 races left its all still to play for in our fantasy league. 60 points cover the top seven.

Norm Topper & Tivu occupy the podium places, although I think we should give Jimmy H a special mention - atm 5th in the league in his rookie season - a superb performance - keep it up J!

Not quite sure whats happened to my F1 team - we seem to be doing a Marussia & trundling round at the back in 28th

These Soft Tyres are really mixing it up already and we've only just finished Q1.

They'll last no more than a handful of laps in the Race itself (depending upon how many fingers one has on a hand!).

Kimi has left Lotus.
Autosport says he has elected to have some surgery on his back, that has been causing him so many problems the last few races, and it will mean he misses the last two races of the season.
Comes a few days after he went to Ferrari for a seat fitting...

A few years ago I visited company in Cov which did custom car interiors.... They had the contract with McLaren and refurbished Berger and co's seats after each GP

Have you got a reliable source for that - my F1 Forum (Planet F1) goes no further than "expected to ....."

Mind you, a couple of days ago, it issued an Article claiming Kimi was "committed" to finishing the season with Lotus and then, without apparent irony published another one about an hour later stating Kimi had jacked it in and was getting his back sorted.

They left the first Article up!
