I prefer the non Linux Technomates as they are much easier to set up such as the TM5402HD M3,
The TM Nano SE Plus can prove very frustrating to set up due to the over complexity & unforgiving software,

That's ok if you are familiar with Linux Satellite but if you are not be aware that there is a much steeper learning curve with Linux & you will be better off with the TM5402HD M3.

Opps !! I have purchased the Nano one as I thought it was excellent value , so I guess am in for an interesting time, no idea it was difficult to set up do I need to enroll in a night class course as my understanding was that the manual/user guide will help in basic set up then I learn as I go along.

What yo need to take on board is that digi247 & some other's have been working with Linux for a long while & find setting it up easy,
For someone who is not familiar with Linux unless you are prepared to read & learn this can be a daunting task,

I do not like the TM Linux & much prefer the easy layout of the German Octagon SX 88 Linux as it is more straightforward whereas the TM Linux is not easy for a beginner & has a steep learning curve.

Hellas Sat 2 has just a short period left @ 39 east now full transponder change over to Hellas Sat -3 will be completed within the next few days,

Then Hellas Sat-2 will move to 34.5 east for Arabsat station holding until a new Arabsat is launched to this location.

I think it may be like Badr-4 footprint as the Hellas Sat-2 footprint is much bigger but we will have to wait & see as they will probably aim the beam further South to cover the Middle East.

Can I set it up to receive transmission from Hellas Sat 3 initially at least then learn as I go on not plan to record at this stage. There must be a simple set up guide for beginners like me about.

It is the terminology that I find daunting people speak of e.g. image flashing what on Earth is that why is it required etc when you turn receiver on initially are you not guided to setting up for satellite search once you tell it what you are looking for?. These things are a challenge in any case! Please continue with your kind help.
