Don't worry, so many people make that mistake at the start, and last season I transfered quite alot and still finished 6th :) If you can manage it, try to settle on a good team and don't change at all.
Remember, 1 free transfer per Gameweek

Whoa, so I can still make transfers after the transfer window's closed? I've got to read the rules more carefully.

I'm still in shock, though the writing has been on the wall looking back. Where do you reckon he'll go next? Spurs, Sevilla, England?

No, I meant the 31 August transfer window.

Anyway with Mourinho gone there's a good chance Chelsea will flounder even more, glad I don't have any Chelsea players.

Why not they can still score points without a manager, indeed many a team do better without a manager because they are not fighting against their natural game to try and please or appease the manager.

Well maybe they will score points in spite of the manager (case in point Liverpool :)) but managers still have a lot of influence because of team selection and formation. Who knows there might be some players leaving in January if Avram Grant is not doing well by that time.

@Salty - You're lucky you got Fabregas, I had a choice to splurge on a midfielder and I bought Gerrard thinking he would score a lot more goals :(

LOL, I bought Torres for goals, but he's gone now, as the rotation policy screws up the team, no point in having a star player who only plays a third of a game.

I think it's just about worth avoiding players from Chelsea, Man U and Liverpool for the very reason that they have such big squads. I have to agree with Salty though, Cesc is Fab! And he's only 20 - wonder if he has a Scottish ancestor?

From the little I have read here and there the team was being picked by Roman Abramovitch anyhow so no change there then

I try to miss areas where rotation occurs - Liverpool attack, Spurs midfield etc. Your wasting your time trying to guess who the manager will pick.

This month's award goes to a new member of the league this season, kebabinho, whose Liverpool XI achieved the joint highest score of the season on GW8, 84 points.

He jumped up 6 places, and is now just 15 points off the all-important top 5 places. Linhas' Dragoes move up to 2nd, but Norm has already amassed a 68pt lead. Also doing well are Topper's Tossers, climbing 5 places to 5th, and the Creatures, who are now standing in 13th.

Experience has, thus far, counted for nothing as Toontastic (2nd in 06/07) are 8th, Satellite Screwballs (3rd) are 14th, and Paraletic Athletic (4th) are 16th.
