Taking the spoils this month is malcolm. Top scoring in Gameweeks 9 and 11, his Toontastic team has rocketed up the table, and if malc can keep up this performance, it surely won't be long until Norm's place at the top is under threat.

rolfw's Screwballs are also picking up after a lackluster start, but my own team Dynamo fell out of the top 5 and all-important Champions League places.

:p Not quite. Blackburn play Fulham away on the Sunday, and then host Villa at Ewood on the Wednesday. For the purposes of the fantasy game, the Wednesday game is bunched into this 'Gameweek'.

I thought I'd go to the trouble of making a list of the players that may well be away on duty in this tournament, so that you can plan ahead of their departure.

The ACN in Ghana runs between January 20 and February 10 (3 weeks). FIFA rules state that a national team may demand the release of player in the run-up to a continental championship or FIFA World Cup upto 2 weeks ahead of that team's first game in the tournament. However, it is unlikely that any of the teams will demand players more than 1 week before January 20.

Also bear in mind that players are released immediately after their team's elimination, so if their teams was knocked out at the group stage, they would come back earlier. The dates of the various stages are as follows, with PL 'Gameweeks' in italics:

January 6 - FIFA maximum release deadline
January 12 - Saturday of Gameweek 22
January 19 - Saturday of Gameweek 23
January 20 - Opening game of ACN08, Ghana vs Guinea
January 28-31 - Final round of group stage games
January 29-30 - Gameweek 24
February 2 - Saturday of Gameweek 25
February 3-4 - Quarter finals
February 6-7 - Semi finals
February 9 - Saturday of Gameweek 26
February 10 - Final of ACN08

The players that maybe at the tournament:

Group A:
Ghana - Kingson (Birmingham), Pantsil (West Ham), Essien (Chelsea), Muntari (Portsmouth)
Guinea - NONE
Morocco - NONE
Namibia - NONE

Group B:
Benin - NONE
Côte d'Ivoire - Toure, Eboue (both Arsenal), Zokora (Tottenham), Drogba, Kalou (both Chelsea), Meite (Bolton)
Mali - Traore (Portsmouth), Sissoko (Liverpool)
Nigeria - Yobo, Yakubu, Anichebe (all Everton), Etuhu (Sunderland), Obi Mikel (Chelsea), Kanu, Utaka (both Portsmouth), Martins (Newcastle)
* Victor Anichebe has yet to play for Nigeria, and is therefore still eligible to play for England at Under 21 and senior level. It is still unclear which country he wishes to play for.

Group C:
Cameroon - Geremi (Newcastle), Bikey (Reading), Song (Arsenal), Olembe (Wigan)
Egypt - Ghaly (Tottenham), Shawky, Mido (both Middlesbrough)
Sudan - NONE
Zambia - NONE

Group D:
Angola - NONE
Senegal - Beye, Faye (both Newcastle), Diop (Portsmouth), Kamara (Fulham), Diouf (Bolton)
South Africa - Mokoena, McCarthy (both Blackburn), Pienaar (Everton)
Tunisia - Nafti, Jaidi (both Birmingham)

It was extremely close for the award this week, with both top-of-the-table Donkeytown and raising stars Hotspurs having a good November, but the decision has gone the way of kreacher and his Creatures.

The Creatures moved up 8 places this month, scoring a total of 192 in the month, and are now in the Champions League places, with Dynamo a single point behind, and Hotspurs trailing a further point.

Also climbing into a Champions League place is mhku's Calor, but he'll have to do more to put the heat on the top 3 which remain unchanged. Donkeytown extend their lead to 112pts.

Falling out of the much-coveted top 5 are the Tossers and Germania. They'll be hoping for bouncebackability in the busy December schedule.

This evening, following this afternoon's games, there has been major movement in the top 3 in the provisionally updated league table.

Toontastic, 2nd this morning, are now down to 4th. Malcolm, however, may not be there after tomorrow with 6 of his players yet to play. The Toon are level on points with now 3rd placed Creatures - 3 of Kreacher's boys are yet to appear, all Everton players no less.

The biggest news, however, is that my very own Dynamo team are, as it stands, 2nd and with a 31pt advantage over 3rd and 4th. 2 players (both Man United) are left to take the field for Dynamo (although Dynamo have the disadvantage of being 1 player short this Gameweek!).

Champions Donkeytown remain, as they have been from the beginning, top and current top scorers this weekend!

82 points in one gamewek for me, that must be some sort of reord??!! Could have had more, unfortunately I left Dempsey on the bench, and he got 10 points, so if I had im in team it woul dhave been 5 more...

How do the transfers work during the Christmas period, still one change a week??

Sorry T_G, but that is in fact short of the season high of 95 points, as scored by your's truely in GW15. The top 10 scores* so far are as follows:

1. Dynamo Sol (Salty25) - 95 (GW15)
2. Allstars (gbaggerz) - 90 (GW15)
3. Manchester RED (SAF (T_G Jnr.)) - 86 (GW15)
4. Ole Jose (john_graydon) - 84 (GW7)
=. Liverpool XI (kebabinho) - 84 (GW8)
6. Toontastic (malcolm) - 83 (GW9)
7. S.C.K. RED (T_G) - 82 (GW18)
8. Creatures (kreacher) - 80 (GW14)
9. Tossers (Topper) - 79 (GW10)
10. Satellite Screwballs (rolfw) - 76 (GW16)

Look whose 3rd :) And look, Norm's Donkeytown is a big absentee there as well, clearly consistency is the key for the champions.
And yes, the limit is still one change per Gameweek. :-csmile

* Actually, this is complete bollocks as these are only the scores which were recorded in the top 3 of the given Gameweek :D. Sorry for the error, but you get the general idea.

I had meant to do this earlier, but since I can't get to sleep due to intoxication I thought I may as well do it before the morning (though it is the morning!).

For those of you unaware, the Fantasy Cup enters into it's first round this Gameweek - to check up on your progress, click on 'Fantasy Cup', which in the 'Latest Points' section of the grey column on the 'My Team' page on the website once you've logged in.

You had to be in the top 1,048,576 scorers in Gameweek 18 to qualify. Here is the first round draw for all SupaLiga teams:

Scoon Army (Leeds University League) v Donkeytown
Dynamo Sol v Shake 'N' Bake (Sticky Chest League)
Chunk FC (The Swans League) v Toontastic
Creatures v PhilTheForce (The Big League)
Blue Mooners (League of the Skills) v Tossers
1 in the pink (STRYKER PREMIER) v Dragoes
Clout 11 (Dan's League) v Allstars
Manchester RED v Trondheim United (DFID)
Mzumbe United (Hazza Revisited League) v Satellite Screwballs
DIRT (Boondock Saints League) v Mucho Calor Hoy
UndeadRider FC (Syorga League) v S.C.K. RED
Tofix FC (Liga Sijangkang EPL) v Germania Köln
Hotspurs v Jog On Bois (Billionaire Boys League)
Ole Jose v Graddz United (Hipperholme Boys League)
Mansom v Change Name (unaffiliated)
Paraletic Athletic v Sporting Club (Maynooth & Friends League)
Rainbow Warriors v Deco's Dynamo's FC (The Glass House League)
RED United v Kilteely Kunts (Limerick League)
Liverpool XI - Failed to qualify
Mad Hatters - Failed to qualify
Dreamers - Failed to qualify

I shall try to keep up with how we all get on, as always!

So basically you use your normal team for cup games? Whagt is this thing where transfers count???

P.S Who is S.C.K Red???? it sounds like a former yugoslavian hockey club. If you are shortening it please call my team Satellites Reds or summing?

Yeah, it uses your score and deducts transfer penalties, just like the normal league competition.

Yeah, 'S.C.K.' is a shortening of Satellites.co.uk, it's just easier to type out than the whole address. That's ok, Satellites RED it is. RED, as I'm sure you've noticed, is used as an indicator for all T_G family teams!

Funny you should liken it to the names of Yugoslav sports clubs - the inspiration was former Eastern Bloc teams :D Of course, Dynamo is the best name :-googly
