£30 000 big enough ? :D

And three "third" drivers now to choose from, assuming Grosjean gets the place of Piquet Jnr.!

Not if the wheel had somehow found itself bouncing into the crowd. Also, considering how much those motorhomes cost alone, £30,000 seems like pocket money in the world of F1.

McLaren confirmed their re-emergence in Valencia on Saturday afternoon as Lewis Hamilton and Heikki Kovalainen set the fastest times to wrap up the front row of the grid for the European Grand Prix. Kovalainen was on course to take pole but made a small error on the last corner and failed to beat Hamilton's 1m 39.498s best. The Finn's earlier 1m 39.532s was enough for second, however...

[fieldset=Race report provided via The Feedster - Barrichello returns Brawn to winning ways in Spain] Hot from F1.com

Rubens Barrichello had said all year that he will win for Brawn GP, and he finally came good in Valencia with a controlled performance that brought him home just over two seconds ahead of McLaren's Lewis Hamilton. As Barrichello reignited his title hopes, it was a disappointing afternoon for Brawn's title rivals Red Bull, who saw Sebastian Vettel retire and Mark Webber trail home ninth...

F1 SupaLiga 2009

attachment.php

Full table and graph attached

Brawn GP reignited their season in Valencia, as the championship leading team outwitted McLaren and Lewis Hamilton to guide RubenS Barrichello to his first win in over five years. Hamilton, on pole, was leading until a bungled pit stop gave the advantage to Barrichello, but the world champion still came in 2nd place ahead of Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen. Jenson Button had a poor start off the grid, but managed to finish in 7th place, and with Sebastian Vettel suffering engine failure for the second time in one weekend, Button's main rival for the title now is his team mate Rubens.

My selection of Lewis Hamilton insured my Dynamo team remained top with a score today of 122pts, but it was 2007 SupaLiga champion Norm who put in the star performance in Valencia. The Scot guided F1 Aberdeen to an incredible 165pts - the 9th best score this grand prix across Pure Fantasy F1 - and in doing so has launched himself into the top 3 for the first time this season.

Dazdazdazzy's BTTR remain in 2nd, but will need to improve on recent form if he is to sustain his title challenge. The Tossers have fallen to 4th, and Topper may have to look down as well as up as there is now a close knit group of teams waiting to take advantage of any further blips.

Also creating headlines today are john_graydon and Wod, whose teams Pretty Boy Flyers and Team Wod scored 139pts and 138pts respectively. Team Wod also swap 12th for 11th with Outcast.

If you go back through the seasons that we've been doing this, there has been at least one race where there was no change if I recall correctly.

Both my drivers did not perform well so scoring only two championship points amongst them I think I did well to score the 111 that I did, but lost a lot of ground. I hope Davidson does take over from Badoer, he could not drive the car any worse, that is for sure.

Ah Belgium. Scene of the biggest accident in F1 history in 1998 when half the field was involved in the first corner pile up, and the race turned into a demolition derby :D

I think it would be safer sticking a tail on the donkey with a pin than to try and predict who will

a) Survive a wet practice and even wetter race
b) Survive the first corner carnage
c) Not aquaplane into a tyre barrier

Now then wet weather drivers!!!.........OMG it is the championship contenders:p

I should have polished my crystal ball

That upside down grid has made a dent in my possible points this weekend.

I half heard a comment on TV about fissi had the fuel in his water bottle and none in his tank? are they trying to say he is running light?:-rofl2

If anyone tells you Formula One racing is predictable, they weren't watching at Spa on Saturday as Giancarlo Fisichella took pole position for Force India ahead of Toyota's Jarno Trulli and BMW Sauber's Nick Heidfeld. Yes, you read that right. In one of the best qualifying sessions of the year the times in Q1 were separated first to last by only 1.8 seconds, in Q2 by eight-tenths and in Q3 by one second. Brawn's Rubens Barrichello was the first of the four championship contenders in fourth...

I'm actually in minus points so far, so much for a clever punt!

It's a long race, oddly enough we had identical teams apart from the engine

If I score more than 100, I'll consider myself extreme lucky, the fact that Hamilton listed so many problems suggests that he probably won't be able to break into the top 6 today, but as it is Spa anything could happen. In hindsight, picking Webber over Raikkonen was a stupid decision. Does anyone think Badoer will continue after today before being replaced? His shit quite frankly :-rofl2
