My Satellite Setup
Raven mk2 zone 2 x4, Channel Master: 90cm x3, 1.2m x2, 1.8m PF. CM polar mount x2, Az/El x3.

South Durham
Official Freesat boxes don't have DVB-T (Freeview) tuners. Your TV does have one though, if you have coverage. The channels on Freeview and Freesat are almost identical.

If your children/grandchildren have Sky and they have the channels you’re after, you could use their Sky Go account.

We'll follow your advice and not buy a box for a while. We are viewing our TV with, 'freeview' but because of our location we can only pick up about 20 or so channels. With freesat we would be able to pick up a whole lot more. Unfortunately our children do not have Sky – good point though - and our 4 grandchildren are all under 5yrs.

Hi,

Quick up-date.
We have decided to go with the FREESAT Smart 4K Ultra PVR 500GB which is for sale at Satshop for £199.00. We did ask Currys for a, 'price match' but they refused.
There are a few on Ebay, but I’m always a bit suspicious…
Since I phoned SKY to cancel our subscription no one from SKY has been in touch with us.
Fair enough.

Having said all that, we would just like to say a, ‘BIG THANYOU’ for everyone's most valuable help and advice which was very much appreciated!

Is that one of the Arris boxes? There are some VERY mixed reviews of those.

Doesnt mean anything - there were Freesat boxes a few years ago which were nothing at all to do with Freesat the UK free satellite services! They were basic 50 quid fta boxes
