I saw this also yesterday on the analyser - the signal dropped to nothing for a while and very slowly started to come back out of the noise but never got back up to it's usual strength
Not even there this morning.

I have seen that before John, I think they sometimes get a problem with that static camera. When ITN news comes on the picture is OK,

Taken this morning using a 1.3 Precision dish with Ka feed and a Hughes Ka LNB, snowing heavily, dish half covered in snow but still 12dB on Newsnet.P1010009.JPGNewsnet.jpg

Yes the KA feedhorn and OMT are indeed Elite, the f/d is 0.35.
Sadly, Elite antennas are no longer trading so nothing is now available. New, the feeds and OMT were in the region of £1800.

I was quoted £1100 excluding VAT for an Elite Ka feed with single port WR42 output back in 2015
The feed with the OMT dual output was £1750 excluding VAT at the time.

Add on VAT and price inflation since 2015 and I think a buyer would have been lucky to get change from two bags of sand for a single feed setup just before Elite closed down?
That Elite were hungry, they loved wad.

This part has been on Aliexpress for a long time. I don't think it works well. If this were the case, then you would have heard from others who have it.
I wouldn't risk it for the price.

It looks like the lnb that was used by Hughes broadband, theirs was painted white but the rest looks the same.... my Hughes ones work pretty well for a DRO lnb. The feed that comes with it is the same as the XMW offering that is very expensive to buy on it's own. Not everybody has the ability or facilities to modify ex broadcast / broadband equipment so it could be worth a punt for them

You're right. But I have already bought LNbs from the Chinese that absolutely did not work properly. Unfortunately it is now the case that they recreate and copy everything. But often with very poor quality.
