Problem has been fixed in the new update

From reading the release notes it looks like they have updated the video driver and from early impressions I can see the playback is working perfectly. I remember someone else said they were having issues on satellite feeds, this should be fixed also.

They are really quick to sort stuff out, have to be fair!

Agreed. But it also looks like it was rushed to market without sufficient testing, as there have been so many new software releases to resolve a great many issues that perhaps should not have relied upon early adopters to identify.

The Edision Primo, which is a remarkably similar product, doesn't suffer in the same way.

Nevertheless, credit to Octagon for listening and acting - There are other brands that don't seem to give a sh1t once the product hits the market!

As far as I can recall, there has been one update - and no significant feedback about bugs. People just seem to find it, well, works. Innit.

Anybody else curious about the English-DTS soundtracks on some channels. On all of my other receivers the option doesn't even appear but on the Octagon it shows up but the sound doesn't come on. Are there many receivers that support DTS audio?

Whats it plugged in to, the TV or a AVR? you might need to change some settings.

It's plugged straight into the TV, I've had a look at a sound settings on the TV and none of them want to work with DTS.

On the receiver end I get the option of Bitstream or PCM and on the TV end I get the option of PCM or Auto, none of the combinations work. I got this response back from Octagon "DTS should work but needs testing". I have a bose system and a new tv I could try it out on but I'm highly doubtful.

Depends if the SX88 can convert it or does it just pass the DTS stream through, it might need a decoder on the TV/AVR.
Let us know how you get on as I don't have anything that will decode DTS.

he also had some big problems in the beginning.
With SW 1.04.39 almost nothing worked: no multistream, no DD.
Now with 1.04.48 it's OK.
Say the Edision Primio s2 did not have a problem,
it's not really accurate.

My bad .
when I wrote Multistream, I forgot to add T2MI.
it did not work at all (at least in the person who owns the edision).
Now with 10448 everything is OK.

On the Octagon it just says English-DTS, so I'm presuming just regular DTS. The channels with DTS audio are Channel 5 HD on Astra 2 and France 3 multistream on 5w

Anybody else with a SX88 or SX88+ having problems with the RTSH transponder on 16e (12639 H 10833)? The signal takes about a minute to lock but once its locked the channels work perfectly, this is the first transponder that I have come across which has this problem. I have no problems on my other receivers so this leads me to think its an Octagon problem.

Here SX88 using the 'Transponder List' signal 'Quality' seems to jump up and down then a solid lock.........takes some 10 seconds......then changing to another transponder and scanning it and finally returning to 12639 H 10833 (scans in here at 10835) instant lock!

Interesting that this info isn't listed on Flysat or Kingofsat. Maybe someone should tell them

In reality Audio: Englisch-DTS, does not exist.
Maybe a marking error?
On all other audio channels there is sound.

Hi all, can't ignore this much longer and am thinking of getting this. Two questions though.

Can the signal be displayed in dB (real or not) or only on arbitrary percentage points?

Do you get a signal quality reading under lock like sat cards and F15 receiver?
