I'm not sure if they will do the job, but give them a try,

_http://www.free-codecs.com/download/CoreAAC_Directshow_filter.htm

Also the "Software-Version 1.3 (incl. DVBViewer TE2)" for Skystar HD2 contains a version of Mainconcept decoders, which I believe includes an AAC one. There is no need to install the whole package, just unzip it and you will find the Maincocept decoder package on /download/install/Mainconcept directory.

Hi Strs ...
Just downloaded the Core install and ran it up ..
Installed ok ..but still doesn't appears as an ACC selectable codec option in the dropdown ..
Perhaps it needs to be registered before it can be used ..
Can't remember how that process works ..but seem to remember something about regserver ..or somesuch intgral app..
I'll keep trying.

Something like that in a command prompt window, regsvr32 "C:\Windows\System32\file.name"

Either that, or it is not included in DVBViewer's filters (decoders) database.

Sorry if I appear a bit thick ..
This stuff is more in depth than I'm used to..

I wish I knew that! As far I can tell there is no text file (like DVBDream's guids.ini or codecs.ini) to include whatever decoder you like.

Maybe it is better to try the Mainconcept package. Its AAC decoder is listed in DVBViewer Pro directx settings...

One of the AAC decoders I have listed is DivX, should be a free download here _http://www.divx.com/en/software/divx-plus/codec-pack

Hello Vipersan,

that´s realy great on 4162 H @Intelsat 805. I didn´t managed to get a picture there. I also use DVBViewer with Omicom S2 PCI card.
Can you please post a screenshot of your "Direct X" constellation for DVBViewer.

Same with "TransEdit" scan on 4162 H. VLC media player, too.

EDIT: As you can see, there is no "Video-PID" to see with TSAnalyzer (yet?).

Best Regards
qwer.

You could download DivX...it will install an AAC filter and Dvbviewer will recognize it...and let you select it.

EDIT: Should have read to the end of the thread, aceb already beat me to the DivX idea:)

Very low signal strengh I presume, as tsanalyzer reports a data rate of only 7.74kbps.

You´re right, strs65! With TSAnalyzer I can only get a low data rate.

With "CrazyScan", it´s ok. VLC media player reports, something like, "impossible to get video".

Best Regards
qwer.

Signal seems decent, most of the time the Constellation shows 8psk

Thanks, strs65!

Impossible to scan this transponder with "TransEdit" and getting a "Video-Service", like Vipersan did it. But for tonight I´m out at this point...

Good night!

Hi m8's the only app that actually scans ...and produces the correct transponder data on the ini file is Easy Blindscan

Thats the way to go but I will upload the transponder list I grabbed for 55 west ...which when imported into dvbviewer ...with the right codecs installed and of course ...the TBS6925 ..will get results ....
...but only when its broadcasting ..
Its on and off quite frequently ..but has been active most of the evening ..

btw ..got the AAC audio running on dvbviewer ..
after trying about 6 or 7 different aac codecs ..I found one that is actually seen by dvbviewer ...and can be selected ..
..and yes there _is_ audio on the broadcast ..when its active of course ..

for the codec ...
read this blog page..
_http://blog.monogram.sk/janos/2009/03/08/monogram-aac-decoder-0960/

and attached is the dvbviewer ini file for 55 west

...oh ...and dvbviewer ...you must set _both_ local osc frequencies 1 and 2 to 5150 before the scan ...or it doesn't find anything ..
..or at least thats what happened for me..

VLC has inbuilt codecs you should be even able to even play the zip without unzipping :)

Plays even inside the zip.

Choice of codecs is interesting, AVC Low Profile 1.3 is one mainly used for mobile devices. Possibly for rebroadcast over mobile networks?
