Sometimes new versions are posted on the russian site only, or posted with delay on ricktaylor.

(although the download links are always the same)

Hmm, both sites, Viaccess and Ricks, link to the same urls, I wasn't aware Rick's delayed anything but maybe they do.

The download urls are the same, but the "Crazyscan - BLScan Software" topic on rick's is not always updated with information about the latest version of those programs. Check this, last message, version 1.0.0.630 / 635 for BLScan and CrazyScan respectively,

Ah, yes, notification there requires someone to translate Russian to English, that is why you don't see that very much. ...but the files are there, same as on Viaccess.

Hi, just transferred the funds from one account to another. So will have at-least a day before I can order.

Is there a quick setup tutorial since it all seems so advanced compared to the basic Hauppy.

CrazyScan looks absolutely amazing and really does seem very professional software used with great bit of kit.

I am really enjoying this thread, one the most informative on new and emerging aspects of this hobby for awhile.

Still enjoy feedhunting and the "Catch" of the really odd station. This card seems like it will help with that.

Thanks for all posts so far and any help given.

Cheers

Either the diseqc 1.1 command produced by the TBS card cannot be interpreted by dvbviewer ...or dvbviewer cannot communicate correctly with my Gecen GD-81E 1.1 switch.

When I used TBS6925 card on Windows XP,I could use very well diseqc 1.1 for 16 lnbs{toroidal dish} with DVB Viewer Pro,using also TransEditscan.Now that I passed on Windows 7 64, I met a strange situation:with TransEdit of DVB Viewer can very easily scan 16 satellites with DiSEqC 1.1.without problems, but when I want to use DVB Viewer player,DiSEqC switch does not want to change LNBs.
TransEditorScan and DVB Viewer seems not understand who to use DiSEqC although both applications are made by the same manufacturer and have the same utility.I make the same settings in both applications, as shown in pict. but unfortunately DVB Viewer does not know to change the switch the LNB to another.

Unfortunately DVBViewer has not full support for TBS6925 card.As you know TBS has a simplified DVBViewer player with many functions reduced compared to Pro vers.
If I find a solution I'll put here.

Hi m8...
When you order ..its worth choosing the DHL delivery option..
That way you'll get a tracking number ...and delivery will be faster than snail mail..
approx 1 week ..

Can't help you with a setup procedure...but would advise you go to the already supplied links in this thread ...and download the latest drivers and utils specific to the 6925 ..
The disk that comes with it has drivers and software which are fairly out of date...so better to start your install with recent apps and drivers..
Install the driver first ...then the various apps ...
There is a pdf on the supplied disc which more or less applies ..and will guide you through the setup.
In my case I had problems at first with conflicts ..so opted for a fresh ...clean OS install ..so I could start fresh.
..but you'll probably not need to go to such lengths

Hi friends ..
Finally got Easy Blindscan ..up and running ..
It controls the diseqc 1.1 switch nicely ...selecting the correct port ..
There is some sort of issue using EBS built in positioner ...
I guess this might be because my 'Darkmotor' isn't listed ...so tried the 2 options that are Usals/Stab ....and SG2100 ..
A recent scan of Badr @26East ...produced results ....just not the ones expected ..
The dish had located a satellite and scanned it ...just not the one I wanted ..
17 tansponders aquired ...non of which identified as Badr 26East
---------------------------------------------
[SATTYPE]
1=0260
2=Badr C,2,3
3=0
4=9750

----------------------------------------------

I gave up ...and deselected 'postioner' ....and switched on the F15 ...
..moved the dish to 26 East ...and put the F15 in standby ..
I then performed an EBR blindscan using port 3 ...diseqc 1.1 having left the TD110 (port3) where the F15 placed it.....and it correctly found the badr transponders I expected to be able to see ..

24 transponders

24=12683,V,27500,34,1,|-48 dBm, 6.2 dB
----------------------------------------------------

My conclusion ..
EasyBlindscan and/or Crazyscans positioner algo ...as I assume EBS uses the same....doesn't like my motor ...and so can't accurately position the dish
...So ..for now at least I'm going to have to manually position the dish with a set top box before using the TBS6925 ..when using the TD110 (darkmotor)
Yet to try the TD88 on the SG2100 ...but that one appears catered for ...fingers crossed ..
..and No probs moving the Alcoa(vbox) using diseqc 1.2 ...as this also works just fine..
Its certainly an education ....and bringing back memories of why I migrated away from pc sat cards ..in favour of set top boxes..
This card is too useful ..not to use ..so If I have to use a stb as a positioner ...then so be it....
Inconvenient I know...but I do need to know what I'm pointing at.
rgds
VS

....another possibility that just occurred is that maybe the TBS card can't generate enough current to power the 1.1 ..8 port switch ....the darkmotor ...and the lnb ...thus making for inaccurate dish movement..
This being the case ...I'll never find a cure ..and will have to continue using a stb as a positioner.

...No Idea if this is going to be useful to anyone but me ...
I Intend to blind scan everything my 3 motorised dishes can 'see' In both KU and Cband ...
So the generated transponder lists can then be imported into DvbViewer and used to scan channels ..
Its going to take a while ..and is a bit like re-inventing the wheel..
But It will hopefully pick up anything new and unlisted ...
Basically for my own use ..and only applicable for similar dish sizes in the UK ..
But I figure it a worthwhile enterprise.
I'll pass on a copy to anyone who wants it ..once its complete.

Thanks for your replay Viperscan.

I will go with DHL when I make my order and follow your advice

Just quick mention I will be using my STB to drive my motor so no trouble messing with Diseqc.

Good choice m8 ...using a stb to drive the dish is probably the best way to go ..
My experience so far has not proved to be the best ..
Nothing wrong with the card ..nor with Crazyscan software ..both are excellent ..
My problems are all down to compatibility issues ..
both with switches and motors..
Avoiding these will give you less headaches ;)

Yes, I've always used a positioner in a separate receiver to move my dish when using a PC card, be it the old analogue Echostar 8700 or, now, the AD3000ip. As it's hooked up to a TV, I can easily see which satellite I'm on via the menu, and adjust position for maximum signal. Or check the Satlook spectrum analyser, also looped in.

Do you know if your Darkmotor has the 28 satellite position table built into it? Is there an online manual you could provide?

For those with multiple antennas, the best solution is a H-H positioner or actuator positioner for Prima Focus Dish. Remove any inconvevient setting both in the receiver and in PC Dvbs2 card.Not have to resort to different softwares, as CrazyCat's or another.

A first ..maybe ??

Did a scan of 55W cband with EBS ..
During the scan it uncovered a 32psk transponder 4162H ....

So I took note ..
Once completed I scanned the transponder list with dvbviewer ..and took a look at the 32psk channel ..
Yes it scanned in ..and was identified as service 1 ...
So obviously I had to see if it produced a picture ..
Well ..yes ...of sorts ..
Not fully locked but clearly identifiable as FOX network
Occasionally it locks to a full picture ..but it doesn't last ..
Here's the screen cap

No disrespect Satesco ...but thats unworkable unless one has access to a very large dish capable of both C and ku reception ..so both lnbs would want to occupy the focus ...and it assumes a clear view of the full arc ..from horizon to horizon ....at the users location ..
Not everyone has either the space or even planning permission (difficult in the UK) for such a BUD ..

My setup uses multiple dishes for a reason ..
To get the most out of my hobby with limited access ...space....and line of sight...
So I don't think it unreasonable to be able to use multiple dish installs ...and a multiport switch.
