Does anyone manage to receive Amos 3 here in the UK? It's on the edge of reception here in the west of East Anglia, usually in the evening. Just wondered if it extends further west or north.

But watching the first transponders come in ..

roll up the screen ....
A feed frequency on Amos 3 if Lyngsat has it correct ..
Will post full results when complete..
..but I do intensive scans ..so may take an hour..

Amos 3 is something of a part-timer here, IIRC it tails off about mid-morning and comes up again early evening.

I might do a signal/time analysis with TSReader over a few hours one day, although it means binding the tuner to one satellite.

11336H is weak but renders OK, bit unstable tonight as it's still blowing a near gale down here and the dish is wobbling about a bit.

Several of those frequencies are actually coming from Atlantic Bird 3, which is only 1 degree west of Amos. For example, all the following are from AB3

I suspected that might be the case Strs ..
Such are the problems of blind scanning in close proximity to a loud bird ;)
The next stage has to examine each channel in dvbviewer ..and delete what wasn't from Amos

Well that gives the lie to that chart if you can receive any thing from that bird

Just for reference I performed a blind scan on Amos (10700 - 11700, no need to go higher). Living at the boundaries of the Middle East beams of Amos 2/3 and the respective European beams of both satellites produces some interesting side effects! There are many vertical polarity frequencies (e.g. 10722V, 10758V, 10806V) that are reused on both beams, and although I can see their peaks on the spectrum graph they just interfere each other and I get nothing useful from them!

Definitely on AB3 with 10dB SNR. Moving the dish eastwards (towards Amos) and the signal fades away...

Yes, can confirm it's coming off AB3. Incidentally, the NIT gives it as 11652H, nothing on there.
