Thanks, greetings to Germany too! Btw, do you have more than one DVB cards in your pc? I think that EBS passes the wrong dvb device to VLC. That's why when I used my S2-1600 it worked almost immediately, but not with the TBS 6925. I disabled the S2-1600 in the device manager, refreshed the device list in EBS and now 6925 works with the default parameters!

Your input can't be opened: VLC is unable to open the MRL 'dvb-s://'. Check the log for details.

Did you set the VLC path?

Edit: Oops, sorry, I see know that this is what the VLC reports, not the EBS.

Why don't you try the default parameters? Normally they should work (ok, patience is needed here ).

Btw, what's the version of your VLC?

Thought I'd indtall the latest beta EBS ..and try getting vlc to open ..

I've used the syntax as posted by Strs :-
dvb-s:// :dvb-frequency={0} :dvb-srate={1} :dvb-polarisation={2} :meta-title={0},{2},{1},{3}_[{14}/{15}] :meta-artist=RF:{9},_SNR:{10}

also ticked the 'send variables in khz' box on ebs

Clicking on a scaned transponder with known fta video ...causes vlc to appear ..but no stream to it ..so obviously nothing playing

I just get an error and :-

Unable to open 'dvb-s://'

Has anyone yet got this working with the tbs card

Hi VS.

It works with both of my cards here now (just with Ku band, I don't have a C band setup), either with my reduced set of parameters or with the default full set. But I had to dissable the S2-1600 in order to work with TBS 6925.

I do not know if the author thought to integrate not only VLC but also TSReader in the latest version of EBS.I think not, because frankly EBS structure is based on Crazyscan syntax.And perhaps for this reason my attempt to activat TSReader through EBS was successful.
As can be seen in pic. instead of VLC I have changed the path in Device to TSReader , after that I clicked on the desired frequency,and as you can see ,tsreader started.

a test in KU-Band... and it works very fine: EBS<->VLC.

But no go here for C-Band!

When I clicked on the frequency TSReader started, and indeed I had to set manually parameters.I was surprised that even TSReader can be activated by EBS!!!I'm pretty sure it can automatically activate tsreader directly from transponder elected as you can start it from CrazyScan.

Astra 1N arrived its testing position 1.8°E. Waiting for test signals, but I'm out of footprint. 1.8°E also used for Thor-6 testing in December 2009.

Thanks, will see if anything comes up on the monitor, althgough being close to Thor/ Intelsat 10-02, may be difficult to find the test TPs.
