I believe it is, but I cannot verify this personally since I don't have a diseqc switch in my setup (not yet).

I use 22khz switching with the 6925 and Dvbviewer and it works fine. Don't know about DiSEqC1.0

Hi remlap, I've logged quite a few 16 & 32APSK signals but all of them data, haven't seen any video/audio yet...at least that I could confirm, I've seen a few weird signals that might have been of the higher modulations, but this is pretty new stuff.
Today some of us have been using CrazyScan to watch the in-orbit testing of the recently launched(July 17) SES-3 hybrid satellite at 77.2W.

The 6925 is a fun card!

Some fascinating constellation diagrams there starman. So it's the usual firing-up of transponders stuff you're seeing, with blank carriers alternating with QPSK signals?

Can't see that satellite here, have to wait for the next test of a bird within my visible arc.

Yes, I think its fascinating also. Its all new to me, first time I've seen this in-orbit testing business. I just noticed a signal pop up durning a CrazyScan scan at 12175, I set the start freq at 12150 and end freq at 12200, set the step to a fast 6mhz and ticked off the loop box. Its almost like watching the signal on a scope, you can see it fluctuating in intensity...when they pull the plug, the plot flatlines almost instantly, no gradual drop off.
I believe Kazsat-2 was launched on the same rocket as SES-3, not sure if that is in your viewable arc or not, but if so, they might be testing that also.

Nope, too far east here.

Never ticked the loop box, so that keeps the monitor cycling through for as long as you want?

From a user's point of view how does it compare to the (much cheaper) TBS 8921?

I made a comparison between the three blindscans, CrazyCat, EBS and TBS6925, as longtime it takes to scan a satellite.I chose a satellite with many feeds{Eutelsat W2A-10 E} and at the hours when many more matches in the German championship were transmitted, all crypted. This is less important. The first two blindscans take a little while to scan, about 16/17 minutes and found around 60 trps., while the latter is much slower, hour and 10 minutes, but found much more frequencies-77 trps,as you can see bellow:

I can say that with the latest EasyBlindScan, 2.0 beta, works much better now than before, at least in my case.

Hi friends ..
Installed and experimenting with Crazyscan and my very complex dish/switch setup this morning ....just to see If I can get them to switch and drive correctly..
Well ...it is possible but isn't supported the way I'd like it ..
I find it a bit odd that I have to first select diseqc 1.1 ...press the 'set diseqc ' button to first select the relevant switch position on my 8 way diseqc switch ..
Once established ...I then switch away from diseqc 1.1 to SG2100/GotoX ...and press 'set diseqc' button again ...
This then will drive the relevant motor on whichever diseqc 1.1 port I previously selected ...
I can then perform a scan.
Kudos to Crazyscans creator for at least making this possible ...wheras I don't have a dedicated viewer app in my armoury ...even capable of supporting diseqc 1.1 _and_ diseqc 1.3

Ideally there should be independant 'fields' ..or check boxes for diseqc switches ...and motor control ..so that these operations can be stacked ..
I'm sure I'm not the only person in the world who uses diseqc 1.3 and 1.2 motor control ....conected to the output ports of muliple swiches (diseqc 1.1 in my case)..
I'm liking the app very much ...
...and it is useable as is ..though a bit complex to use..

Viewer apps ...such as dvbviewer have dropped way behind imo ...and have plently of catching up to do.
One of the reasons I stopped using pci sat cards some while ago ..and went for set top boxes ..was due to exactly these sort of issues.
The creators of such apps seem to assume users only use either a single motorised dish ...OR ...a multidish diseqc switch setup..
Not both ...
And diseqc 1.1 support is even rarer.
rgds
VS

...needed to ammend this post ..to mention the big dish driving the 1.8pf ..
This one uses a vbox with preset positions ...diseqc 1.2 driven ...off port 2 of my diseqc 1.1 switch ..
I can't find any facillity on Crazyscan to deliver a preset diseqc 1.2 command ..so perhaps this is another thing that hopefully will get solved at some point..
Unless it does exist already ....and I just haven't found it yet

;)

Scrap that last comment !!
I think I just found it ..
First I select 1.1 swich to port 2
Then select 1.2 and swich/ drive to preset position ..
:D
My hat off to you mr Crazy ....
Nice job ..
If only I could stack that operation ...so it would be performed with one button press ...

but Hey ..this is good stuff.

Naaa ...loving the card ..
Loving crazyscans app ...
Not happy with my paid for dvbviewer pro ....or indeed any viewer app ..as it assumes very basic systems and no room for complex switching/dish functions.

Just a quick question ..
Can I change the dot colour when plotting constellations in the zoom function ? (not liking grey ..its hard to see)

I'm guessing its possible but haven't found that option yet.

Yes ..Twas..a bit scathing Llew ...but relevant I think ..so better left in for reference..

It wasn't the card ...or indeed user error ...
It looks as though the TBS6925 ...doesn't happily co-exist with orther cards/drivers in the system ..
For example ..my Nova variant TV card is still 'physically' present in one of the pci slots ..but since I built a clean os ...
Its driver is no longer there ..so the os doesn't see it ...
..and obviously the Nova TV card can't use the TBS driver ..or it would appear in the device list

Also the Twinhan dvbs card has now been physically removed ..so no possible conflict there...

I suspect all my frustrations where 'conflict' based..
But I don't really need a second Sat card in the system ..but would have liked the TV card to be 'seen' by the OS ..
Small price to pay..

DVBViewer Pro has the ability to cascade various Diseqc commands, switches, positioners, even delay between them, but you have to select "extended" first on Diseqc settings.

Download the latest version of CrazyScan (Crazycat constantly updates his programs) 1.00.643. Dots are blue at first and gradually changing to red on "hot" spots.

Is your Nova TV card for DVB-T? I use a PCTV USB Nanostick for DVB-T and T2, no driver conflicts with the TBS card.

When I get home this evening ...I'll make sure I've got the latest versions of both apps ..
..then hopefully the 'extended' function will sort out my switching/dish issues..

Hi Llew ..
Yes its dvbt only ..
With previous BDA drivrs ..as used by the S2-3200 TT card ...and Twinhan dvbs card ...the Nova was automatically detected ..so dvbviewer could be used with it ..

Sadly not the case with the TBS bda supplied drivers ..
..but this card now has priority ..so no way I want to compromise its functioning..
