Seconded ... iv'e got a few suggestions to put forward that are more 'enthusiast' related but i'll let them carry on with the more 'Domestic' niggles first.
** I ran a crude tuner/receiver performance test the other night between a few different receivers - TM Mk4 / TBS6983 / StarSat SR-X7 Extreme / GT Media V9 / GTMedia V8X / Freesat V7 HD and the TM Mk4 had slightly the edge of maintaining lock before picture break-up.

A future Manic firmware update might bring in 4k resolution.

SportsMax sometimes shows West Indies cricket but it is on late at night into the early hours for the current series of WI vs AUS T20 matches.
It is not until they get to the ODI matches that the hours get more sociable.

Forum member "manic01" has achieved miracles in getting Technomate to be pro-active with after market support for the TM-5402 (M4).
His efforts have resulted in the receiver being transformed from a possible candidate as a door stop at 1st launch into what appears to be a potentially good receiver.

Although I have not yet purchased a TM-5402 (M4), I am grateful for the effort put in by "manic01".
There are probably quite a few owners of the receiver who are of a similar view?

Would you please be able to scan 40.5W using the Ocatgon SF8008 using an E2 image such as OpenVIX or OpenATV rather than the Define software?
I am not sure if the Define software utilises the same blind scan plugin as the full blown E2 images so there might be a difference in the number of channels received?

If the TM-5402 (M4) can outperform an SF8008 runnning a full E2 image in terms of number of channels scanned it is definitely one for the feed men to consider.

Also, there are quite a few T2-M1 frequencies in C-Band on 40.5W, can the TM-5402 (M4) lock and resolve these?

**Important to me - When using my Norsat C-band lnb with LO of 5750, the receiver will scan the normal range of 3.400 to 4.200 GHz but it wont scan the extended range of 4.500 to 4.800GHz which it is capable of doing.
Give the choice to switch off 'Password'-Input Pin' demand.

is it possible to compare octagon sf8008 and tm5402M4 on very fringe signal please?
I mean pixellated trasponder on 8008 can be watched without issues on 5402?

I manage to pick one of these on ebay.

Blind scan is good and fast, but you can't put a freq range in yet so it's a bit silly.

M4 plays 16APSK feeds now which is a bonus and improvement

The desirable juice usually runs dry after an allocated time period has lapsed and then a payment is required to get it to flow again.

To the best of my knowledge, the desirable juice functionality is beyond the scope of discussion allowed on this forum.
