I couldn’t agree more but one sure way to kill interest in a post is reference to PMs with another member to the exclusion of others who have contributed here. Not exactly playing the game.
I don’t play games, all I did was look for some advice, which I got from you and some others. Again thank you for all your help.

Pleased to see the TM5402 M4 locked and tuned the three vertical T2 MI transponders on 14W quite comfortably from a blindscan. No special settings required. Needed to nudge the dish slightly east to achieve this.

I didn't know this box can lock T2-MI transponders. Is this true on all available T2-MI signals or just on specific?
Also, could you please confirm it is OK on spanish DTT channels at 30W? Thanks.

Yes it locks and tunes T2 MI channels. Certainly on any I’ve tried including 14w. It also locks and tunes the Abertis bouquet DTT on 30W.

By locking and tuning, do you mean the M4 can actually view T2MI transponders?

There's nothing special about the modulation itself - it's still DVB-S2/8PSK so no issues with locking on any receiver. It's whether than can interpret the stream.

Yes they can interpret the stream which is viewable as can be seen from below from 14W

This is a very good news. I believe that M4 is a very good receiver: good FTA reception, Abertis, T2-MI.... and more.
Probably I will need a new box soon, not sure to purchase M4 or GTMedia V8UHD. GTMedia is combo, but not sure it is better than M4. Any suggestion? Thanks.

I have both. The M4 is my workhorse but I do use the V8UHD to tune those hard to get signals. I’ve seen the M4 advertised for £99 and the V8UHD for as low as £35. Maybe you could get both and judge for yourself. Do bear in mind the V8UHD is not the GT Media Combo which is a satellite receiver and Android box combined.

Would be interesting to see if the M4 works with Gostcrypt CAM. At the moment, I think it's only the Openbox S3 that works with it.

Whatever is stated in the link.

30/08: Fixed recording rename issue. Fixed password PIN issue.

I had an issue with my M4 rebooting so I updated the firmware and that problem is resolved. Other than that it is what it states.

Ihave inaugurated my TM-5402 M4 yesterday! Not downloaded the upgrade yet though.
I tuned to 28E and only got the SD channels plus C4,C5 ,Smithsonian plus a few unsignificant ones in HD(religious or shopping ones) no BBC in HD!...
just the list I had on my Comag Twin HD . So the TM doesn t seem to be more "sensitive to low signals" :(
Or is it that propagation of HD is really low... Surprising as I got the HD over last weekend, only to lose it come Monday.
A somewhat deceiving result.. I m going to try the Italian "streams" today.
Anyway the recording function appeals to me,if I can record local DTT tv as well!

I really do suggest you fully upgrade your M4 before you go any further. Then you can fully exploit any of the features that were introduced at a later date.

Are you on a marginal footprint for 28.2e. There has been a lot of changes over the last number of weeks. That why I scan 28.2e regularly. Which Italian streams are you referring to.

The 5w italian streams!
I get some of them ,strong signal. But the transponder list has mistakes and it seems i can' t put in all transponders. Equally for the French ones, I get 15 odd channels & about 10 are missing despite my introducing the missing transponders, using Kingofsat

one question,HOW do you upload the update into the receiver?
i put it on a usb stick, connected that, turned on "usb" and I got a "no network" message & the instructions do not mention "uploading update"...
Now trying to copy that so it' ll be alone on the USB stick... and unzipped of course... am I doing right?
