@DonSE2 I could ship you some 1m fiberglass antenna (Channel Master or Prodelin). Only reflector, with no mount, no feedarms, no LNB-holder.
Do you supply dishes or you just had the one lying around?

Hi if anyone has an opinion on these questions i think of before choosing.
So guys the Gibertini 1M SE as its slightly heavier that is the reason people say the XP might be better for higher say 18ft?
Also Im thinking of long term wouldn’t the SE be better, less warp due to 1.5mm compared to 1.3mm aluminim thickness.
What is the lifespan of these dishes approx, 20 years etc? Does performance really change much.

With the fibreglass Cahors SMC 100 cm, it’s actually 92 x 102 cm
compared with 97 - 104cm. I wonder if that will impact so much a few extra channels being received.

I will stick with my original suggestion OP Gibertini 100 XP+ Inverto Black Ultra 0.2 Ground mounted just 4 feet to the bottom of the dish to the ground + the modification to the Lnb arm has made this an excellent satellite dish.:)

I can only comment on the 1M XP, which I had mounted on a motor, then fixed as part of a multi sat set up. It's well engineered, pretty easy to set up and performs excellently. I saw no signs of warp either.

Thank you yes I overthink and the XP is even cheaper than what I was going to get the XP, im settled on this and can finally order.
One question is though, I asked if the SE comes with all stainless steel nuts/ bolts and they said it does.
Do you think this is the case on the XP also?

Not had any luck, another supplier said they no longer ship due to the extra paperwork. There's a Kathrein KEA 1000/G dish that caught my eye, the specs are identical to the Gibertini, a copy? More expensive but at least the retailer has a note saying they still ship to the UK. The Kathrein CAS 90 is seemingly highly regarded but a little smaller I think and more expensive so i'm tempted by the KEA

Also noticed a Schwaiger SPI1000.1 which looks identical to the Gibby, the specs say it weighs 11kg vs 7.3kg but perhaps a mistake. Common for dishes to just be rebranded?

Which retailer has the UK shipping note? :)

Yes many products have a single manufacturer and get rebranded for retail. Triax and Televes also have dishes that look identical to Gibertinis.

I came across Sotel.de and Conrad.com which both say they still ship to the UK. Neither have the Gibertini dishes (as Gibertinis) but do have a number of other dishes. I've ordered the Kathrein KEA 1000, the listed specs are very similar to the Gibertini 100 XP but I believe the Kathrein has a folding arm so it's slightly different. There is however the Schwaiger SPI1000 which could well be just the 100 XP rebranded. The specs listed the weight as 11kg which was more than the XP weight at 7.4, however i've just received my shipping note which has the KEA package at 11kg so I suspect the Schwaiger SPI1000 specs include packaging.

I ordered this, Preisner S 100 ab 74,13 € | Preisvergleich bei idealo.de
I got it from the cheapest one. It looks close to the Gibertini XP and the shipping was 10 euro so £73~ in total. Wheter it will come through.
I was looking at Conrad not long ago too, I read it and was a pleasure to hear they have tried a solution and let people buy still.
I just hope this is good now as I couldn’t be bothered to search longer and finally purchased mentions gain at 12,75 GHz - 40,70 so great just like Gibertini and weighs near same (XP) same dimensions hopefully its good quality. Really wish could have ordered Gibertini still. Then again cheap so no problem. Might be suprised.

Looks similar, much better price than I got. I'm the same, got fed up of searching only to order and for it too be cancelled so happy to pay extra and get it sorted (hopefully). Kathrein seem reputable anyway and were quick to respond to my questions so confident it will perform ok if it turns up undamaged

Cancelled mine, its a good job they were taking long time to send it. Looks similar but on paper I found for instance with gibertini and kathrein stainless steel nuts and bolts are provided not all fixings are on S100 . Also on the feed are of the S100 there is a big gap allowing water in. I normally take more time, just glad I kept going and now I didn’t waste it on that one.
I’m between the WISI OA10A and the kathrein myself now. Well done on choice.
The WISI seems to have better gain at 40.9. Just it has a plastic back part, don’t know if that’s a good thing in longevity. I also have to ask if the bolts/nuts are all stainless steel. Back to taking it slow aha.

Mmm. Again a Gibertini dish provided with wrong arm length?

That was also the issue here: Usals problem & alignment
I would measure the dish (height, width, depth at the center) and calculate position of focal point, to check.....

I'm not sure how much you can read into gain figures. From what i've read the gain should be directly correlated to the dish size with a standard dish (not a double focus one). The Televes 1000 dish I have measures 94 cm x 104 cm (outer dimension I think but will confirm tomorrow) according to the specs with a gain of 39.8 @ 11.7 but it's smaller than the Gibertini and KEA which only have 39.7. Also that SPI1000 (which calls itself a 97cm dish) which I believe to be the Gibertini listed a max gain of 40.8 compared to 40.5 of the Gibertini. 40.8 is almost what the TD110 pulls in yet it's bigger. So i'm taking the gain figures with a pinch of salt. Perhaps the OA10A is bigger than the listed 100.

The KEA 1000 should arrive tomorrow, will report back how it looks but won't have time to set it up till next week

That's interesting yet moving it closer lowers the signal?
