Still no snow in Berkshire, had a centimetre yesterday, but other than that, clear here, hope it stays that way until after Christmas.:)

There's some coming your way later tonight. It's just about to start here.

I mis-spoke: Six inches of fresh to clear down to the lane plus the plough has piled up eighteen inches or so in front of the driveway. The latter is compact, wet and therefore heavy and I've put my back out shifting it.

SWMBO is off to the treadmill and if she phones to say conditions are good enough I'm going to do the fifty mile round trip to the Supermarket.

Well I'm still waiting for the first decent fall.

We've had naught but light dustings of snow all the time and, if it wasn't for the hailstorm we had on Friday last week, the ground would look pretty white-less.

Right, I'm off. "I may be some time"

Don't wait up!

Edit: Still here - miscalculated just how long it would take to remove 21" of accumulated snow of the car !!!

Heres the latest pic of the dishes..... Remember the lower ones arent tyre mounted now. I though they would be high enough to clear any normal winter snow :D

Around 4 inches fell last night here, but it's enough to stop me from venturing out on the roads.

Luckily I found my stash of old flooring yesterday afternoon, so today - and for most of the weekend - I will be mainly burning walnut panelling.

Where's the Christmas spirit ????
By now there should be a big snowman, and at least one of the dishes painted to look like Father Christmas, you can use the snow as a beard:)

Yep, much the same here.

Just got back from my essential (?) shopping trip - It seemed a good idea to stock up on far more Bread, Milk etc. than wwe could possibly need, but bertter done now before the panic buyers hit the shops.

(That was ironic, lest anybody missed it)

We always get wet heavy snow at this time of the season. We use the hose to break it down, then throw salt in before it freezes. Or, if it is not so high, put some boards on it and walk or drive over them. It saves on hard labour. Cheaper than years of visiting an osteopath.
