Just been outside and theres a decided nip in the air - the digital thermometer is reading a distinctly unseasonal 11C - and dropping rapidly!

:-doh!

Jolly chilly this evening indeed - I may have to ditch the T-Short and veer towards Singlet & Sandals mode.

Time for the Autumn & Winter thread to begin, it's frickin' frosty outside tonight!!! Haven't got a thermometer outside to find out the actual temperature, but it's definitely 0 or less Celsius out there, in August.... :-nuts

The local radio staion said there were various places where the roads were white this morning. At 8.15 the car thermometer was reading 1C so I reckon we could well have had a frost overnight.

Brrrrr!

I would hopew we can hold out until the October solstice before starting the winter thread. However if we get photographic evidence of snow beforehand we will start early :-rofl2

Its supposed to be nice up here today so as the missus is away Ive been doing some work on the dishes - an octo lnb has gone onto the Sky dish so Ive removed the poorly mounted cream & yellow offset lnb that was on the 16E dish that was feeding the 7020.

In the drizzle as the forecaster had got it wrong again.......

Want to do some more work on the dishes this afternoon, so Im hoping the rain stops off.

Tomorrow is supposed to be 21 degrees round these parts, might just use that time to foot wash my winter duvet (it's too thick to wash in the machine, and hand washing is too much of a pain!!!), seeing how it'll probably be the last day of any decent warmth we'll get until next year... O-Ha

It is weird though, frosty morning 2 days ago, and sunny skies and 21 degrees tomorrow... :-nuts

The monsoon season is upon us ............. triggered by my efforts to set up a new antenna for post-DSO DTT.

And my neighbour has just advised me that overnight frosts are a-coming.

Put that BBQ away!

Went out this evening when it had brightened up after some heavy showers...... Felt like illuminations weather and I really fancied a walk on the prom and a bag of chips. Difficult where I live

Don't say they've forgotten about Halloween.......makes me glad I live somewhere that full blown commercialism has yet to reach.
