..It's been reported that in some areas of the country ..the water board will be out in force tomorrow...

apparently they are having to fix signs pointing customers to the stand pipes ...as they aren't easy to spot under 3 feet of water..

Sitting here on a lovely sunny evening, now, having gone round the house switching off all the lights that have been needed this afternoon and reflecting on how 'kin sh1t the weather has been for the last 3 days. Mustn't grumble.

The warning for our local river (Hersham is a mile away). We are 200m from the banks.

And I bet you they're not going to pump a drop of the floodwaters out into reservoirs and aquifers to top up supplies..... :-rofl2

I dunno, water water everywhere, but nobody can be bothered to pump it into the right pipes for a drop to drink.... O-Ha

Pleasant enough here to work outside without a waterproof and rope to ensure your not carried off by the wind. It's a public holiday today, so may rewire a couple of LNB's on the multisat and mow some grass this afternoon.

Every day is a holiday - so warm that I've been obliged to plant out some VERY early Green Beans - having been obliged by the general crapness of late April to start them off indoors, they have already assumed triffid proportions.

One late frost and they'll be gone - so I've just sown some more.

So hot that I had to take off my T-Shorts (sic.)

The first decent Saturday in weeks and I finally got a chance to have a look for 52.5E. It was most pleasant when the sun was shining but when the clouds got in the way the wind was exceedingly chilly.

Anyway heres the temporary lashup I put together to have a look at 53/52.5E Its an 80cm dish held up by the Workmate!

I was thrilled to bits to see Uzbek TV again on AM22 & I was pleased to find the old Vantage rx would see the 44950 symbol rate Russian channels on 11044V.

Then I connected up the fta HD box and had a look for the fta Saudi sports channels on the European beam of Yahsat 1A @ 52.5E

A very easy catch indeed even on a somewhet less that perfect dish - its got a big dent in the rim :D
