Take your camera with you :D

Sadly there was nothing worthy of a photo, I think he'd caught the cable and one of the LNB connections wanted remaking as it was shorting the inner to the outer. I'll find out tonight when they get in.

Pouring down here and a barmy 12° outside (not a lot warmer indoors either).

@ AS: By far the strongest on 53°E for me is Arezu TV on 11660H, showing 14.4dB on the Dr.HD.

Just got back from our post-prandial perambulation and it is really quite bitter in the breeze .... "Feels like" 5C or so.

I suppose I could have put some jeans on instead of my shorts, but hey-ho.

A bit further South than you in 49..... didn't bother looking at the temperature as its peeed down all day. There's a massive 2CV gathering down the road where I wouldn't have minded an hour or two not in this weather.

Yes, just a department away as I'm only 200 metres from the border of 53. Only stopped raining about half an hour ago, really miserable weather.

Yup thats the strongest one here too, although with a bit of tweaking the Uzbek & Russian muxes werent too bad either.

I forgot to order the reel of coax so the dish isnt connected to anything :-rofl2

Whilst I was at it I stuck an old zone 2 dish under the 53E dish so I'll have the stronger stuff on 42E as well :D

Just got back from today's trot out - what a difference a day makes (Good title for a Song?): Yesterday coat and wooly hat (and shorts); today, almost starkers.

Its not very often Altnaharra is the warmest place in the UK - its more famous for being the coldest when the mercury plummets in the winter!

The thermometer in my office was nudging 30C mid afternoon even with the windows open :-ohmy - the sun shines on that side of the building in the afternoon.

And I've just remembered why it's best to wear a light pair of trousers rather than shorts whist walking in the Countryside - legs slashed to bu**ery by long grass then followed up with acres of nettle stings!

i,m in Sutherland no too far from Altnahrra at the moment - on another of my mountain/ walking ventures and yes it certainly has been hot -- i,m a little nearer the coast - so its been a bit cooler than it was there - but its been very good here since sunday -- :)
pic taken from the summit of Stac pollaidh (nr Lochinver) this afternoon

No satellite stuff for the moment (aside from a 43cm minidish that was on the house already), Samsung SyncMaster T27B550 Smart TV & Monitor, and a few computers...

Well, it's definitely warmed up round these parts, I was in Consett yesterday and was rather toasty, had to duck into a few shops just to get out of the sun it was that bad, but then I was there around midday, and the midday sun is always roasting hot, still, I finished the day with some beer (Bombardier, cos it's Bang on!!), which was nice... :-beer

As for today, well, it's foggy right now, so, could be another hot one with the humidity... O-Ha

I took the family down to Worthing for the afternoon. Despite the online weather forecast claiming cloud, this had vanished by midday and so we spent three hours basting on the beach.

I wouldn't be surprised if the roads down south are congested most of the weekend.
