The sole remaining BBC widebeam frequency (11954H) which carries the BBC i nteractive & the radio channels will be discontinued at the end of October. All services will be moved to BBC uk beam frequencies.

The next big change occurs this week when the first transponders are swapped from Astra 1N to 2F. We expect many fringe areas north east and south west of the UK to start losing access to the psb channels, and therefore to have to use access to the widebeam channels still available and listed on the first post of this thread..

The first channels moving will be:

10994H 22000 5/6 (ITV 1 Granada HD/ITV 1 Central South West SD/ITV 1 Anglia West SD/ITV 1 Meridian North SD/ITV 1 Yorkshire East SD/ITV 1+1 Yorkshire SD),

The next big PSB related changes are expected to be to migration of the BBC services to 2E UK beam in summer 2013

BBC1 Scotland HD & BBC1 Wales HD launch on the Astra 2F UK beam this week. Expat viewers outside the 2F transmission zone with Sky or Freesat HD boxes registered to Scottish or Welsh addresses will lose BBC1 HD on Monday 14th Jan & Tuesday 15th Jan respectively.

The chart in post #1 has been updated to reflect the new arrangements.

More4 HD is now testing prior to launch on 12304H 29500 3/4.

It will be an encrypted service and is transmitting on the 2B north beam.

With 2B having been switched off this week Ive updated the list to reflect the new arrangements, and it has to be said the number of channels is dwindling fast.

The remaining widebeam channels on Astra 2A are expected to be turned off later this year when 2E goes into service.

Thanks to Trev, (Radioagogo), I now have these C4 mosaic channels. Reception is 1st class so it cannot be from 2ANorth surely?

Ive updated the master list for the new Film4 HD test on 12324V (Astra 1N Pan Europe) (& the rename of BBC HD to BBC2 HD a few weeks ago )

The rest of the list hasnt been updated for a while but I think its all still current

UTV HD will launch onto 28E on November 4th. It will of course be on one of the UK beams, although the frequency & satellite is unknown atm.

Astra 2E was safely orbited last Sunday and is now on her way to 43.5E for In Orbit testing.

We may see her on air at 28.2E before the end of the year, IOT is typically 4-6 weeks..

The BBC are expected to be early swaps onto the 2E UK beam swapping off the 1N beam
