Any Penalty would be 20 seconds added time >>>>> No change in final Positions.

Depends how quick the yellow flags were deployed, in the shot I saw you could see Seb Vettel overtaking a back marker and the accident happening on the left of the screen insufficent time for Lewis Hamilton to do anything as he was right behind Seb, as for Jenson and Mark they should have had time as they were 30 seconds back, but again it all depends where and how quickly the yellows were deployed.

In any case Maverick sticks to the race positions at finish not after penalties

Thankfully he seems relatively ok ................ after a nasty crash almost identical to Rosberg's earlier on.

Yes, it was a big impact. I'm very impressed by the effectiveness of those crash barriers....as I'm sure Perez will be.

BTW, when the 'talking heads' arrived at the dock from their floating introduction, was I the only one willing the boat to drift away from the landing when they jumped??

No you weren't alone!

I was hoping Eddie would do the splits with one foot on shore and the other still on the boat, as it moved gently away ...........

Apparently he is to stay on Hospital over night - he is a bit brused, nothing broken (well apart from the car!), - and so with that they will not clear him to race tomorrow.

Damn. Another 4th place in qualifying in the league....if only Shamilton had got his arse out into Q3 quicker and posted a better time....

Lewis has been penalised for short-chicaning and now starts 10th, in case anyone is interested.

He is, of course, my No.1 conducteur.

Oh crap. I am actually 6th on the grid...!!!!!!!

With skills like that I can easily replace Legend Legard and David "Heilfeld Heidfled Heidfeld" Coulthard!

And Shamilton takes a drop for cheating and missing a corner....knew i should not have swapped my no1 to him....

Liuzzi's ruined Hopeless Hispania after his crash in Free Practise 3 this morning.

The crane driver should have saved Hispania a fortune by swivelling round 90 degrees & dropping it in the harbour! :D

Even Wimpy Whitmarsh referred to them as mobile chicanes earlier on in the weekend.

The 107% rule is all well and good, but surely they need to actually turn a wheel in Q1 as well?

Anyone remember pre - qualifying? I know there were more cars than spaces on the grid then but aren't the Hispania cars a case for bringing it back?

BTW, having seen the the way the rear suspension crumpled during the crash, it wouldn't fill me with confidence as a driver!

You know I rarely 'split hairs' :-rofl2 but strictly a 'conducteur' is just a driver whereas a F1 driver is referred to as a 'pilote'.

Renault series in monaco. two cars touch wheels at the mirabeu before the hairpin..and one gets about 4 feet of air, and just manages to land before he clears the barrier! must have been a hard landing for the driver.
