You must have had a bad week......by my reckoning last race was 1 week ago, so still 3 to go. I know what you mean though.

Nearly 19 days actually. But I think most of us who haven't been fortunate enough to have a holiday in between are suffering withdrawl symptoms.

Just realised that I'll be flying from East Midlands to Dinard while the Belgian GP takes place. Oh well, I'll just have to watch the highlights later and think of it as a preview of next year!!

Well at least there is some action in the offing ........ finally.

I've had to spend the hiatus immersed in the PlanetF1 Forums and boy are there some puerile twonks in there.

(Suits me just fine :D)

DRS has been banned in the Eau Rouge corners for the entire weekend:

Race director Charlie Whiting is worried its use on bends could increase the chances of a major crash.

Dont forget to make your team changes before the weekend :)

Glad the action is nearly back with us - I'm getting a bit of a mauling on PlanetF1 over my views on BSkyB!

Rain and Spa...always interesting.
GP2 should be fun!

Wonder how many times BBC will show 1998 and Couthard being the catalyst for one of what could have been the biggest f1 insurance claims ever and one of the most deadly crashes ever with most of the card wiped out and some cars still going full throttle into the pack.......

Highlights of Belgium 98 can be seen here :D

:-lmao

13 cars destroyed in the biggest pile up in F1 history, but if you watch the action look out for a very slow starting Minardi at the back which misses the carnage :-rofl2

Later on there is the famous incident where the cheating Kraut almost killed himself when he ran into the back of Coulthard, and a frightening almost identical incident where Fishykilla writes off a Benneton up the back of Nakanos Minadi

The crazy GP2 guys are 2 abreast in Eau Rouge and overtaking there also!!!!! Mind you, for one driver was not so lucky as the kerbs are still wet, although the track looks dry, and hammered into the barriers at the top of the hill..

Rhe front runners are concerned about tyre wear - several cars have blistered their front tyre inside shoulders from running too much camber on the wheel. The teams have been forbidden to change their tyres or adjust the camber on the grid.

Not all - McLarens seem happy.

Just seen Fettel poking the Pirelli guy in the chest!

Fabulous entertainment!

Best of all, I've just realised EJ is wearing a shirt made of Fuzzy Felt.

Agree. JB great drive, and also from the old Schuey also, from last place.
Shamilton needs a good kick up the arse to make him remember he is not the only one on the track and F1 does not revolve around him. and most of the incidents he is involved in are his fault!
The F1 league will be interesting, a faire number of teams were predicting over 100 point, and a few over 120 points!!

Just watched the highlights, quite an exciting race!! Yes, Hamilton needs bigger mirrors!! (and possibly a smaller head!)

After another exciting race - and the one that almost certainly sees the end of Hamilton's hopes of winning the championship.

In the league we have 4 teams whoi scored the magic ton,

116 - Norm
115 - sonnetpete
104 - prodrive
103 - my very own ScotbordersF1

Overall league standings:

well Norm has it in the bag now - he's got almost a big a lead as Vettel! 1164 points.
Tivu is fighting valiantly with 1070, then there are a gaggle of teams chasing the leaders

Rick is #3 with 1051
I am #4 with an score of 1032
wobbles is #5 with 1023
sonnetpete is #6 with 1015.

There is a bit of a gap developing between the top 6 and #7 so it looks like our top 3 will come from our leading 6.

Norm is continuing his excellent form in the overall competition - currently placed 15th. Tivu is also well placed - still inside the top 500 which is an superb performance

Seems I should go away and not have internet access (no temptation to tamper with my selections) more often!!! Well done to Norm and Tivù on sterling performances thus far.
