How did you manage to get Alonso, Schumacher and four other drivers for $60 million?

If you'd picked Fisichella and Liuzzi in place of Webber and Sato you'd be at the top of the ITV league!

Well done...

His still joined 80th though! The overall top 3 have changed their drivers like its going out of fashion.

The new code to make changes prior to the Spanish GP on May 14th is TEAM (teletext page 597).

Remember that limitations on changes are now in operation, so check for that on the Teletext website for all the relevant details.

Nice to hear ur having fun! Thanks for the LOG update - wolf bangers are bottom, yet are top 5 in SupaLiga, vvv interesting. Dont know whether you had a chance to look, but the hypothetical team didnt do too badly, 19pts if I remember, will keep an eagle eye on them (esp if they over take may team later on:-doh! )!

The Schumi-Alonso battle continues in Barcelona, as Fernando takes pole, and team mate Giancarlo Fisichella returns to form to secure an all-Renault front row, thus denying Michael Schumacher (3rd) a run to the first corner in the race. Ferrari duplicated Renault's row lockout, with Massa taking 4th on the grid.

Rubens Barrichello (5th) out-qualified fellow Honda pilot Jenson Button (8th) for the second race in-a-row, while Kimi Raikkonen had another poor Saturday afternoon in 9th. Toyota drivers Ralf Schumacher (6th) and Jarno Trulli (7th) continued the recent good form of the German-Japanese outfit.

The big knockouts of the day were Juan-Pablo Montoya (12th), Mark Webber (11th), and finally David Coulthard, who crashed off the track in the first session without recording a time, and so finds himself at the very rear of the grid in 22nd (pending possible engine changes from other drivers prior to tomorrow's race).

Viellneauve should be starting 22nd - his engine was damaged in transport according to the ITV commentary so a change was needed......:-rofl2

Good spot -

'The session also weeded out another Scott, Speed, who lapped his Toro Rosso in 1m 17.361s for 17th fastest. There was a bit of a gap to Tiago Monteiro’s Midland on 1m 17.702s, while Christijan Albers was unhappy to be blocked by one of the Super Aguris en route to 1m 18.024s. Takuma Sato was 20th on 1m 18.920s, leaving Franck Montagny 21st. However all this bunch will be promoted a place thanks to Jacques Villeneuve’s engine penalty - and given that he was last on the grid anyway, BMW subsequently opted to change Villeneuve's V8 yet again ahead of Sunday's race.' - http://www.formula1.com/race/news/4367/756.html

Just as well there only 22 drivers - or he would be starting 32nd.

Oh for the days when there were enough drivers that pre-qualifying was needed, with almost 40 cars trying to get onto the grid. :-lmao

Although many thought Schumacher had the tactics to win, it was Alonso who came up trumps on home soil to reign in Spain. As the race progressed, it was soon apparent that the champion had the upper hand, although the Ferrari of Schumi continued to be in the hunt for a while. Fisichella had a good race, coming in 3rd, while Massa again showed why he should not be taken lighty with a 4th placed finish and fastest lap.

Raikkonen, who jumped 3 cars to the first corner at the start, completed another disappointing weekend in 5th. However, his McLaren teammate JP Montoya didnt even complete the distance, spinning off early on. Honda drivers Button and Barrichello were 6th and 7th respectively, while Nick Heidfeld took the final point in 8th.

Drivers' Championship - http://www.formula1.com/archive/driver/2006.html

Fernando Alonso extended his lead in the championship, now 54pts, with Michael Schumacher on 39pts.

Constructors' Championship - http://www.formula1.com/archive/team/2006.html

Renault also extended their lead, on top with 78pts, in Ferrari's 59pts. McLaren drop further away with 42pts on the board.

Full story - http://www.formula1.com/race/news/4371/756.html

In SupaLiga, the 'Speedy Devils' took a huge leap in the fight for the title, now with 137pts*, as 'pipjack' (114pts) find themselves in a fight for 2nd with 'IG Racing (111pts).
'Wolfs bangers' dropped an incredible 3 places, from 4th to 7th, allowing Dave's 'bronking buckos' to come from nowhere into 4th (91pts). 'Tom34' suffered an equally devasting drop as the bangers, now equal 8th with Rui Nuno's 'Bussola's dream team' (both 83pts).
'Dragonigen' are back up to 5th with 89pts, while 'F1 Aberdeen' catapult themselve into 6th on 86pts.
And finally, the 'hypothetical' team took their first victim today, overhauling John's 'Jose`s Marinos' by one point (47pts to 46pts). Hopefully my 'Super25's' aren't next :-per!

* 'Speedy Devils' are also equal 36th for the entire Teletext Fantasy League (which I guess is the equilivant of the Champions League!)

NEXT GRAND PRIX... MONACO GRAND PRIX... MAY 28TH...

The leader in the Teletext F1 challenge has changed

7 Drivers (you can only have 6 drivers!)
3 engine suppliers
and the tried both Tyre manufacturers

We've only had 4 races!

Speedy Devils have changed nothing - surly that should be worth something?

Strange competition....

As for this year's F1.

The Spain race was boring (IMHO) the only overtaking looked like taking place during the pit stops.

It's getting worse - poor Bernie will be down to his last billion propping up the viewing figures if this continues...

Imola, Catalunya, and the next race at Monaco arent great for overtaking, and the car are so reliable now. I think the Devils will see the advantages in the long run I reckon.

great, i'm 13th :-doh! it seems events have conspired against me from Bahrain onward. However, all my drivers did score positive points in Spain, so things are at least looking up. Dont think I'm gonna change my driver line-up for awhile. I wouldnt give up on SuperLiga just yet bronk, I reckon the fight for second could hot up a bit.

Schumacher's relegation! - http://www.formula1.com/race/news/4430/757.html

In a sensational turn of events off the track, pole-sitter Michael Schumacher was stripped of all his lap times due to Schumacher appearing to break without good reason and therefore requiring all drivers to slow down when this resulted in a near accident by the German (as adjudged by the race stewards), thus meaning that the Ferrari's occupy the bottom row of the grid following Felipe Massa's accident in Qualifying Session 1.

Schumacher's punishment means that Fernando Alonso is 1st on the grid, with Mark Webber, who had an incredible final session of qualifying session, completing the front row. Kimi Raikkonen improved on recent bad form with 3rd on the grid, with Fisichella starting 4th tomorrow. The big casulty of qualifying was Jenson Button (13th on grid), who failed to qualify for the final session - a feat that team mate Rubens Barrichello (6th on grid) did achieve. That's three races in-a-row that Rubens has out-qualified Jenson... something which Button is extremely concerned is continuing to happen (http://www.itv-f1.com/News_Article.aspx?PO_ID=36064).

in practice league i alway's go to official F1 site for clarification list to compile league but......their qualifying table is still the same even though the trouble with shuey (see piccy) so do i follow official or as then take the track ?

i think it should go to vote as i myself have vested interest and don't want to seem biased.

maybe MR horse will look in to it?
