so after reading about the moving schedule of "russia today", can we assume that the same would happen to all the above mentioned frequencies (channels)? meaning that these new frequencies are temporary stations before they are moved to 2F later in the week?

i receive all the new frequencies with my system, but the strange thing is that on 'tv warehouse" and "CCTV' the signal strengh is only around 40-50%, while quality is 90%. this is very unusual, havent seen this on my sky box before.

Another bunch of Eutelsat transponders have been copied over to Astra this morning:

10.979GHz/V is now a copy of 11.527GHz/V
11.082GHz/H is now a copy of 12.523GHz/V
11.112GHz/H is now a copy of 12.560GHz/V
11.141GHz/H is now a copy of 12.607GHz/V
11.171GHz/H is now a copy of 11.546GHz/H
11.954GHz/H is now a copy of 12.607GHz/H
12.129GHz/V is now a copy of 11.662GHz/H
11.973GHz/V is now a copy of 12.560GHz/H
12.402GHz/V is now a copy of 11.623GHz/H
12.441GHz/V is now a copy of 12.643GHz/H

Ah good - my prediction from a few days ago about using the "c-band" has come true :)

I think so, I assume most (if not all) will be shifted back to the old Eutelsat frequency bands after 4th when Eutelsat switch off their transponders. These should then be on 2F.

Yup these allocation are all temporary - things will change again later in the week after Eutelsat shut down their frequencies.

I think this is the last full transponder move:

11.585GHz/H is now on 11.156GHz/V, SR 23000 FEC 8/9 DVB-S2 QPSK

...and then we'll see if they end up on the PE or the UK beam of 2F

10.921H (copy of 11508H) could well be 2F spot beam - its exactly the same power levels here as the C5 tp

unlikely, because my reception is dead zero on all 2F spot beam. 10921H is around 40-50% quality on my sky box - usual for 1N spot beam

i cant tell which freq i'm receiving, but bt sport 1-2 hd and espn hd are very strong here, 90% quality, it can't be 1N spot beam
Compare to Sky News 12207V. Could it be the same beam?

My guess for all these new band C transponders would have been Astra 2F but Tothbros' reception seems to rule this out. Timo_w2s where are you located at the minute?

BTW, 10921 is definitely 1N UK spot as can be seen in my scan.

As for the other transponders:
11954, 11973, 12129 = 2A South,
12402, 12441 = (probably) 2A North.

I'm afraid I'm in the UK at the moment, so not much help.

But I believe most of the transponders should have temporarily moved to 1N, at least that was what one broadcaster was told.

If you are using a Sky box then chances are the channels aren't mapped yet to the new frequencies.
