My Satellite Setup
57E to 58W, C-band and Ku, DVB-S2, 4:2:2 and blindscan.
My Location
38.5ºN, 0.5ºW
Astra 1N PE1 I can receive in the morning ~5db
Astra 2F UK beam - no signal.
I got only 1-2 db on 11023 and now there is similar signal strength on 11156
When they tested 2F PE beam I got strong signals.
Soon we'll know how it looks like.
When 2F PE was tested the satellite was 15º further east than it is now. Right now 2F UK spot is easy for me on a 1.1m dish. When it was at 43.5ºE it wasn't even a blip on the spectrum. I think you will find the same happens for you when/if they switch anything on the PE beam of 2F... except signal for you will be weaker than when it was testing. Same with 1N PE. I think it will get a lot stronger into western Europe once it moves to 19.2ºE.

I'm rather hoping 1N will be better at 19.2ºE. A lot of the PE1 beam is over the Atlantic at the moment...

How does your 1N PE1 reception compare to 2A North?
2A Northern beam (for example 12382H) = 12db
2A Southern Beam (for example 12051V) = 8db
1N PE1 (the strongest is freq 12441V ) = 5.6db in the morning and 3.5-3.7db from 13-00 till 22-00 CET.
Others freqs from Astra 1N PE1 are ~2-3db from 13-00 till 22-00 CET and ~5-6 db from 22 till 13 CET

Here is a crazyscan Helsinki with a 110 cm dish and a transponder list from crazyscan's blindscan program.
As you can see no hope in UK spot beam or 1N Pan european 1 beam.
Flysat list 12129 V in 1N Pan Europe 1. Other PE1 I cant receive so it must be PE2 or 2A south beam (I bet this one). Flysat lists 12422 H and 12441 V 2A south beam, but can't receive them. It's possible they are 2A south, during the 2012 Olympics there were south beam transponders I could not receive (were they in 2B?) King of sat says 12441 V 2A south and 12402 V 2A north beam (flysat 1N PE1), which it can not be.

Thanks for posting this, I would be very grateful if you could do another similar scan next week once the new 2F transponders are active.

I remember installing a 1.3m dish in Helsinki several years ago and a couple of the 2A/2B southern beams really required some careful alignment and skew to get them. There was quite a wide difference between those south beams even on the same satellite. (Even more weird, when I installed a 90cm dish in Kuusamo I managed to get all southern 2A and 2B beams no problem!)

@miha20: it's interesting you get stronger levels for the 2F spot beam than the 1N spot beam ... proabably side lobe effects.

@huve: you only get a signal from the 11.008V GHz data transponder but none on the 11,181VGHz one? Interesting... so they are not the same beam.

Does anyone know where the contents of 11,680,770V (i.e. movies4men, movies4men+1, more>movies+1) have moved too? - can't see them in the previous posts or at KingOfSat.

These Eutelsat 28A transponders have now been switched off:
11469H
11508H
11565V
11604V

However 11488V is still on with no channels.

Could people in the fringes see a slight increase in power on the remaining transponders after 28A switches off more of its transponders and lightens its power load? Or does it not work like that?

sky box remapped...
lost all the channels that moved to 2F UK...namely and most importantly: BT sport 1-2 hd&sd, espn hd&sd, MUTV, NDTV 24x7, travel channel along with some "lesser" channels

I don't think the Astra 2F will use the same frequencies as the Eutelsat 28A. More like the same as the frequencies used on 19.2.
